For everyone in the comments saying "at least we're not Canada", as a Brit who has recently spent time in Canada I would say the UK is much worse. Canada is not just Toronto and Vancouver. Where I was, houses were cheaper than the UK and wages higher. Energy was a third of the cost and petrol half. There was loads of infrastructure being built, nice spacious new homes. It was clean. Shops were open. It didn't rain constantly. People seemed much happier. The UK is done. It can't be fixed. It is in terminal decline.

The NHS doesnt exist for the average citizen. The postwar settlement has been destroyed. Zero hour contracts, low quality subsidence jobs (mainly service sector). Universities catering to geopolitical enemies because they pay. Deaths of despair in the male population, instagram telling land whales they have worth. How can it be correct to throw up a tower block in Stirling for future CCP employees, yet in the same city a worker on minimum wage cant even rent a bedsit. How can it be correct to have people in Parliament openly discussing blasphemy laws? There is no difference between our parties, they serve the same masters, then these cretins, these glorified accountants, have the absolute gall to say "we might bring back national service". Fight for who? No. The last time they armed and trained the populace, the populace won the war, came home, and insisted on the NHS, trade unions, fair pay, free universities, and a cap on migration. Uninhibited growth in every other field is called Cancer, except in Economics.

You're 100% correct, and I've never even visited England, let alone lived there. As to your (possibly rhetorical) question about who you would be fighting for if they decided to reimplement national service, and your reference to the "masters" both major political parties serve, they're the same deniers of J.C. that the U.S. serves. They're the ones who have forced mass immigration on all Western (white) nations, and they're the same ones that've invaded neighboring nations completely unprovoked over the last fourteen months, or so.

What was shocking, is every single one of them regretted their service. Some went as far to say that they wish they'd lost the war, because they certainly lost the peace. Others were glad to die soon so they didnt have to live there anymore, and the few happy ones were happy because their kids or grandkids had emigrated and won't have to live there anymore. I can safely claim we are one of the most corrupted country in the world, our economy is RUINED almost worst than Greece back in the crisis days, businesses are going bankrupt every days, our medias are censored and some strait up deleted, unemployement is skyrocketing and so is inflation, insecurity is maintained by our own justice system which punishes victims on purpose and release criminals in the nature, our degrees aren't worth anything anymore because they are almost given to anyone asking, people's IQ is digging for oil at this point, our social's and state's services are disapearing bit by bit, we often have to drive for hours to find a regular doctor and wait for YEARS to see a specialised one (For eyes for example), poorer people often have to work until 68 to 70 to ba able to have full retirement benefits and young generations are asked to work harder to fix "mistakes" made by corrrupted politicians... It is NO CO INCIDENCE every country declining, in and outside of Europe, are liberal or members of the EU. Most countires which ARE NOT liberal or left leaning either do better economically or the immigrants coming from these countries, have a better education, attitude and ARE NOT from liberal/left leaning countries. The UK public should be protesting in this country about these issues (and others). Instead, they either stay and say nothing like cowards. Or they run away while bitching about the country from a far (while attacking others for being ex pats). Young people who are 'leaving' the UK will discover, unlike the UK, other countris aren't going to a pussified welfare 'we are the world ' joke. But of course, lowering them is also a losing game as the structure was destroyed and you’d just be settling for the bare minimum. “Fly over county” because all the talent and youth left, leaving nothing but dying ghost towns.

I'm in the UK. I had a stroke when I was 23. Written off but there's not a thing really wrong with me. Got diagnosed with MS too but doesn't affect me too much. Govt pays me £1600 tax free cash every four weeks. They pay 100% cost for my flat, and I am on the motibility scheme so I get a brand new car every 3 years, just add fuel, everything else is covered, including insurance. So I have only to pay my electric, phone, food, and internet from my tax free 400 a week. Get free dentist, optician, vet and other things. Why on Earth would I work? I would need a job paying 55-60k a year to have the same level of disposable income and I'd have to give up 40 hours of my week. It's definitely a glass ceiling. I went to university early and graduated at 20 in physics and maths but am paid better to not work. I do volunteer, so give some back to the economy. Have directly unquestionably saved 3 lives (homeless people on the street in respiratory/cardiac arrest from drug overdose), which probably saved the taxpayer several hundred thousand pounds investigating unexplained deaths on the streets. That's my only thing I could say I give back.

I ended up moving to the US in 2017 and make $4100 every 2 weeks now after taxes. It's ridiculous how different things are here. People with normal jobs have decent standards of living, contrary to what most people say.

Do you really believe Reform offers hope? No one can deny the current two main parties are hopeless and hapless, but to suggest Reform is the solution is just crazy. Nige is a grifter. He unsettles the current and proposes simple solutions for complex ideas, but it's these very simple solutions that ignore the nuance of the issues at large. This is how populists operate. Look how Nige played Brexit. He championed the idea, talked the big talk and as the wheels started to fall off suddenly changed his tune. One only needs to look at Trump. During his last tenure he left an utter shit show in his wake. Biden had a lot that one could say against him, but the economy has improved. The trouble is that no one is interested in the figures anymore. They're just looking for a saviour, yet these saviours are nothing more than wolves in sheep's clothing... and in Farage's case, a snake oil salesman with bottles full of hate.

What we're seeing is the divide between the "haves" and "have-nots" widening even more, however the problem is that more people than ever are being drawn into the "have-nots" side. 25 years ago you could leave university, get a job and a few years later buy a house and start a family. Those days are long gone. Now most people will probably never own a house, unlikely ever start families. I'm in my 50s and I am sick of my generation moaning about how lazy and feckless young people are. What do you expect?! You have a generation that knows the system is against them from the second they were born, to be honest when I hear any young person say "YOLO!" and go do something interesting with their life like travelling and working in a another country i can only applaud them, they have the guts and determination to do something with their lives 'cos the alternative is staying here in the UK to watch your prospects turn to dust.
