I think over confidence leads to getting scammed as well. The men who believe they are too smart or too good a person to be scammed. Women play on these types of egos by feeding them until they get what they want.

Shocked you nailed it. Truly surprised. I see simp Tuber after simp Tuber making excuses. Also surprised you got men have an instinct to protect. Simping is that instinct gone wrong. You can't be a protector of anything if you just hand out money. Most important skill in leading is being able to say "no".

Staying focused on CENTER and being as SELF RELIANT, like you say, are the key anywhere, especially in a foreign country. In a foreign country there are lots of people looking for visitors, or targeting us, specifically. And they ALWAYS COME ACROSS AS FRIENDS, WANTING TO HELP. So beware.

I save and splurge so I can go more places and see more things. I also live way more frugally than it may seem, there have been weeks where my food for the day has averaged under $5 total for the day and I have stayed in really cheap places, for example in Tokyo I found a capsule I was getting for under $20 a night(Total daily expenses was under $40) I built my Bucket List on a Budget plan on 3K a month. 1k for rent, 1K for everything else and 1K saving for the next move or side trip. My original plan was based on 3 month cycle because of EU rolling 90day in/out Visa. Once I got comfortable being on the road I am moving more, planning less and spending a little more...
