Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly.

And years of experience does not equal expertise. This is a real kick of inspiration for me to go execute my plan! Thanks for this video, Alux! Love this!

Taking into consideration that a) a lot of things got individualised (companies' programmes etc.) it's impossible to learn it all, b) most things require short training to get the hang of it. c) things change so quickly it's rather more useful to know how to learn than to rely on experience which might become obsolete very quickly.

Experience goes a long long way. Is the muscle memory and the adaptability of the individual when put in the same scenario. And yes, it's not an indicator of good craftsmanship or expertise. But experience will get you out of many difficult scenarios. Overall in life. This video came from a young person's perspective of the work force. I remember being 20 something and thinking everything you explained. And in my late 30s now I see it every day,. The young eager worker that thinks he will out pace the 20yrs vet that's also still young and learning. Great video though..👍🏾👏🏾😉

I agree with the basic premise of this video, as I would trust a classically trained racecar driver who’s only driven for 3 years more than my mom whose driven for 30 years, even in casual day to day driving, but I don’t understand how someone can gain expertise without experience, as even in my comparison, the two have probably driven for the same number of hours, because my mom only drives to and from work while the racecar driver spends 6-7 hours a day at the track

I personally have been in my business for 29 years however I alway pay attention to the industry changes and key performance indicators that are expected from a key person in my Department. Many people underestimate the calculations made on the value of a persons ability to bring profit and results to an organization. This is analyzed buy any reasonably successful business today so you need to master these Key Performance Indicators to stay relevant.

I see both ways here. Alux and the comments. Some things do require experience (like a doctor or something) but in many jobs (like small shops, hotels, possibly restaurants), like someone said, “how are you supposed to get it, if you aren’t given the chance?”-I very much understand that too. In fact, in my first ever job (a factory), I came in, and acting in the arrogance of youth, acted like a know it all, and got the job. BUT... fast forward to after I gained more (and more of a variety of) experience (in factories, hotels, shops, selling handmade things, dog sitting, fixing electronics, etc.), now I’ve had many issues finding a job at times. And yet, now I actually have more skills than I did, but they won’t hire me..? It’s almost like you have to come in to interviews, acting like you’re already the boss when you first walk in the door. And that’s very weird to do, whenever, bc like the poster said, if you aren’t given the chance like in my case, and keep getting turned down for jobs, now I guess you’re supposed to walk in like you’re already the boss, whenever, you may only have, like 6 months or less experience in that specific field. Guess they only hire actors now...Idk! Lol! I think they make it way too much about personality now, or just how happy you pretend to be. But it’s like, if you ain’t making enough to feed yourself every day, how the hell are you gonna have a “pleasant” personality all the time whilst still job hunting, because no one will give you a chance?!
