I''m on chapter 11 and 50ish hours too, i've been absorbing every bit that I can of this game, so I can understand (i farmed a lot of weapon mastery with byleth to recruit everyone, so maybe that can explain the time), also I've played a lot of FE games before it, so i'm not a newbie to the series.

That's insane lol. Took me like 66 hours to finish first run on hard classic and did the shortest route XD (Granted I had good 6 hr+ afk time as well and I listened to all the dialog so that took a lot longer than normal if I just read.)

Danny Rodriguez did u do all the ending of the Black Eagles? Theres multiple endings I think 3 endings in total. idk, the thing when Edelgard ask u to go with her and then there’s when u need to choose the empire or the church

Absolutely loving the world building and characterization. I've played and favored the Tellius games too. This game seems to have some similarities/ Tellius-esque qualities and I love that. Looking forward to getting to the other routes.

This game is great. Characters, backstories, story, gameplay. I thought I wasn’t going to like Hubert or Hilda because her description make her seem like she’s super spoiled, but she’s more so lazy but I like her personality, and Hubert isn’t really evil. Caspar and Dorothea are by far my favorite characters though. I hope in the Dlc, Sothis will be playable, and I hope the Sauna will be open to use

Just to let you know the Black Eagles has an alternate story. You have to have a C+ support with Edelgard and on the 2/8 on the calendar go to explore. When you go to the church Edelgard will be standing on the sidelines. If you have the proper support she will invite you with her. Which will completely change the story. The alternate Black Eagles story is amazing. Way better than fighting with the church.

Three Houses is most definitely my favorite game in the series. My favorite features thus far is the updated character models, multiple stories to play through and the academy life system. I think the academy life system is especially refreshing, bringing something totally new to the game. I'm looking forward to beating all 3 house stories and checking out the New Game Plus mode after that.

May not be my favorite FE game but it's up there. It's very good. I'm really enjoying the characters. Playing Blue Lions playthrough Dimitri went from my favorite lord, to least favorite character, back to a character I really like. But the supporting cast is fantastic. My only "complaint" character wise. I wish characters you recruit from other houses reacted more to fighting/killing their former friends and vice versa.

I love the game, however I feel they should of had different monthly missions for each house in part 1, witch would help show-off/explore each houses country more. it didn't feel right to me going into kingdom territory on my golden deer playthrough but it was perfect on my blue lion playthrough. it would have been better to have more house focused missions in the first act.

Not only is this FE the best FE ever, I feel like Nintendo is becoming an adult through FE16. Nintendo usually gives me a children's toy store kind of feel in their game lineup, but this Fire Emblem is totally for mature audience. I am glad because it signals a change in Nintendo's mindset about who their fans are and what they want.

Glad you pointed out the music ! They have recorded two versions of the same song one orchestrated the other synthesized which seamlessly change but stay in tempo whether your in a battle or on the map view.... Now thats detail !!!

Several years prior, I didn't care about tactical-rpg gameplay, but this fire emblem is now one of my favorite game of all-times, especially from its story and scenario perspective that blew my mind, beating up several AAA. I think the team of Three Houses understood what a GAME is, it's not a movie or an animé with a fixed plot, it's your adventure and each route allows you to understand the story from a different point of view, and like I love to say: winners write the truth, this game shows how much potential developers can have in terms of game story perspectives. I felt the same with Link's Awakening last month and the NieR series prior. Gameplay wise, I found the game very complete and I regret playing it in Normal Mode, I just understand the true gameplay potential during the final boss of my route which by being pretty tough forces me to go deep into strategy instead of just casually going through pretty randomly and rapidly. This game stills shock me with its story, like I hated Edelgard before playing the game (but I first choose her route to understand the plot), I was more into Claude, and Dimitri was just the default 3rd place of the 3 because of its design, now El is for sure my most favorite character of the game (even surpassing my old top 3 waifus (aka I first married with Petra)) and Claude stayed at my top one husbandos (2nd and 3rd being Sylvain and Felix). Some minor Spoilers there: For those who haven't played the game yet, I will say if you want to get all the story in details I would advise you to play with 1 - Claude, 2 - Dimitri, 3 - Edelgard default Church route and 4 - the secret route hidden in Edelgard's path Sadly I began the game following Edelgard's path (because Black Eagle students were more interesting than Claude's ones) and I think it gave me the whole explaination of things I would've prefer to ignore in first place to better feel the game and characters)

Loved the video. But the way you said Batilion made me chuckle. Battalion. That said, I do think the UI can be a bit convoluted at times. Especially if you get an item and your characters are already full up. Then you have to determine which items to send to convoy. Some of it can be really cluttered. I have mixed feelings on the pacing. The three houses angle is interesting. But, there is an increased amount of downtime between battles which can make things feel prolonged a bit. Hoping it picks up in the 2nd part as I have heard.

I real love this fire emblem, the backstory of every character, so deep. The only thing i dont like in the game is the fram drop in runing around the school, and the camera thats lock in zoom mode for no reason while moving the camera around. The overall of the game 9.3/10 really love it, best fire emblem so far.

It's amazing how everyones backstory is told through the support conversations, sidequests and even visual storytelling in their rooms and how it is an integral part of the main story and the history of the world. It's all interwoven so perfectly that nothing in this game feels arbitrary or set up just for a cheap plottwist.

This comment contains slight spoilers! The amazing thing about this game is that you can make anyone be any class that you want, regardless of their affinity with certain skills. For example, and this is getting into Spoiler territory so stop reading this now... or don't, but I have Fayne on my team, and she is supposed to be a healer with an affinity in Faith, but I was able to make her an Assassin by grinding out her Sword and Bow skills. That to me is just insane!

I liked the early instalments of this franchise, especially the first one we got in america, then it was more of the same and i cared less and stopped playing them at some point many years ago. Flash forward to about 2 or 3 months ago maybe, i heard a new FE would come to the Switch soon and i was like "oh yeah, i liked these, why did i stop playing?", So i kinda blindly preordered it thinking they will surely do something good using a home console's hardware. Then it was advertised at every youtube videos and i tried to skip them to have as much as a surprise as possible but i seen enough to think "i can play as a girl, every decisions counts, there is a yellow team (the joke team in Pokemon Go is yellow and I'm proud to be part of it!), Is that a time skip? Beautiful cutscenes and art style? Ok you convince me ads, i am really in now!". What i clearly didn't know yet is how much of a Persona game this is, i realised it maybe 20 minutes into the game (after wondering why i was in Hogwarts-- not that it's any problem) and i was gasping in joy! It's as if they created the game to suit my tastes, it is a medieval Persona with grand epic battles in-between! Great design, good character cast (not too many i want to punch for being annoying), good immersive music, dreamy bois like Claude, everything's there! 10/10 Nintendo, thank you so much for this game, it sits as at least my top 10 games of all times and i played a LOT of great games since my early Atari days.

It’s one of my favorite games of the generation (proudly sitting alongside Monster Hunter World and Generations Ultimate and Zelda Breath of the Wild, and I’m sure Astral Chain and Dragon Quest XI S will be joining the list soon). My only critique is, Normal is too easy, and they WAY overdid the rewind feature (9-10 rewinds? Why?). New game + will definitely be HARD mode. Still, they should have called the rewinds at ONE rewind, maybe TWO post-timeskip. Otherwise, classic mode is trivialized with virtually unlimited rewinds. That being said, the game is spectacular.

You didnt see the news that theyre adding lunatic in a update? Also, you can just skip the cutscenes and speed through the battle if the chapters 1-12 story really bores you that much, though, I wouldnt since its slightly different with the dialogues of each House.

This game has a lot of massive strengths, but some pretty big weaknesses as well. For example, even on hard classic it is so easy despite me just dicking around on my first playthrough and honestly knowing hardly anything in terms of optimisation. It's even easier than Echoes. Lunatic mode will have to step it up A LOT for me to have a chance of enjoying as much as Fates: Conquest or Radiant Dawn. And the story so far doesn't compare to Geneology or POR. Byleth seems to be the worst protagonist in the series, which is the wrong kind of impressive.
