Signing anyone for 15 years, over 700 million is insanity. One tool player.

This is the point, if Soto is your best chance to win, which he is, why don't you train the kids in the farm system to hit like him? Why are our kids coming out hitting 230 with 30 homers instead of 275 25 homers 280 30 homers 290 40 homers 300 50 homers.... why is it just Soto & Judge that overcame the peer pressure to "speedup the game"? They wound up with the most money by breaking the mold anyway.

82-80 (the year before Juan Soto). Right in the meaty part of the curve! Not showing off, not lagging behind.

The Yanks made the right decision to not overbid for a one tool player. Great hitter indeed is Soto. It's going to be fun to see what the Yanks do now that the drama is finally over.

He gets on base alot. He is basically Bobby Abreu with a little more slug. He is in no way as good as anyone makes him out to be. And he is most likely not 26.

I agree. However he is our best chance to win. My question is why are we not training the kids to hit like Soto instead of Steve Balboni? Then we would have more players to chose from and prices would drop.

@@BradLight777-fs6rxhe isn’t we need 3B 2B 1B and a starting pitcher!!!you can fill 3 of those spots and sign stars for the price for Juan he is average at best fielder and he’s slow.now we can get 3 great players we didn’t win with him so he will never win with Mets😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

@@JasonCarl-f3z I agree that it is better to fill in with 3 borderline stars, rather than 1 full star. That is the key. However I do not trust Cashman. We need to produce kids that hit for average and power again. Well rounded and healthy, not injury prone homer or walk or strikeout.

Agree.. as a Mets fan. Mets roster/lineup would obviously be upgraded greatly with Soto..and expectations would be high for them to be a post-season team. Soto with the WC Dodgers? Overkill.. bad for the game. Soto may very well prefer to be a Dodger and can see Boras reaching out to them to see if they are willing to match the highest offer.. likely Mets. Good to know soon..in order to pivot quickly if need be.
