Why FPV

A bunch of people asked so here it is. It's a fun hobby and it gets me out of the house. The next video I'll do a little soldering tutorial and replace the motor on that broken drone.

@@FunkFPV i personally like to build my own, it helps me understand how it design works and how to improve after a breakdown. but i love the beginners setup video idea, alot of people would love to get into but have no idea where to start. there are assloads of RTF "ready to fly" fpv quads out there, the trouble is finding a "cheap" one that can take a good hit.

Oh neat. The way youtube is, it really only pushes your shorts to most of us. Didn't think you'd be a fan of drones, but with your setup, I can definitely see the appeal. I bet I'd get crazy motionsick trying to copy you.

Many a propeller has died when I was trying to learn how to roll and flip. For any newbies out there, there are options on some parts to install an auto level mode which will keep your quadcopter flat (not hover) when you let go of the controls. I eventually got around to FPV RC cars, but I haven't figured out how to make them more long range yet. That stuff is beyond me, but I'm dying to learn. I would love to see more about your FPV hobbies.

I got into FPV in 2017, haven't flown for over 2 years as UK government set stupid laws in place and keepoving goal posts in terms of what needs to be registered or not. I've been enjoying your mechanical and tool content :)

Just bought my first drone thanks to this video, you sent me down the massive rabbit hole of FPV, I ordered a Luminer QAV-S Joshua Bardwell edition analog diy kit. Going the ELRS route, found a TX16S MK1 Radio on offer up I might pull the trigger on but haven't decided on goggles yet. It should be here next week so I'll have some time during the holidays to build it and learn.

I like this stuff man, was always into RC hobbies as a kid. Had a bunch of nitro powered and electric RC cars, boats, and planes. Never really messed with drones since they weren't too popular back in the day, but I dig this stuff for sure.

Love this video. Always wondered about drones but never looked into it. If you ever are planning to get yourself another drone, would love to see the process of building one from scratch as you have with your current drones, decision processes with what parts to select, pros/cons etc.

Depending on your comfort level this could be no big deal but I was able to find this school field in about one minute once I started looking. There are some weirdos out there. Something to consider as you approach half a million subs.

The last time I flew my drone the C clips broke and the props went up but the drone stayed down. That was more that 2 years ago, me and my friends would setup race courses using electrical pvc conduit. Any batteries that we had would be stuffed now.
