great video as per usual, you asked me in a previous comment what video would i like to see more of and the answer is i loved the one with comparison of how mcgregor acted before and after fighting khabib, the shift in the mentality leading him to his downside, being more nervous before entering the ring etc. and also the one with oliveira from being called a quitter to becoming the champ. I loved the analyzing of their behavior with the visible changes. +much respect to francis his story is simply movie-like. He is Player 1.

Love these videos. Another point about Chael is that he grew up in a wealthy family and neighborhood ("mean streets" of West Linn), so combined with the steroid use, this may have led to the subconscious belief that he hadn't worked as hard or gone through as much adversity as other fighters and therefore wasn't truly meant to be champion. Still undefeated and undisputed tho...
@PsychologyOfTheFight Жыл бұрын
That's a really great point I hadn't thought of. You're right on both - I can't believe I somehow found this edited footage of him losing!

I agree with the Francis part, but I feel the Chael stuff is reaching a bit. Even if Chael had won the 1st fight, he failed a post right drug test, so it would've been overturned to a NC and he'd have been stripped of the belt. Secondly, I disagree that Chael was dominating the second fight, Anderson had an injured rib in the first fight and came in far healthier for the 2nd, he was dictating the action far more and was able to stuff a lot of Chael's takedowns, I think this is why Chael made the poor decision to throw that backfist, as he was feeling uncomfortable and made a desperate move. I think this is exactly what happened in the Jones fight too, he was being dominated and made a panic move which left him in a position to be finished.

He said in a podcast with Mike Tyson that people from his village told him that he needs to realise where he is from and should not think about things that no one with his background has achieved. Do you think that plays a role in determining one's deserve level? Btw, it was a great video!

This video hurt man, because it’s true. My learned helplessness is killing me. I already know deep down she’s going to reject me and I’m not going to win my national championship so what’s the point it’s like my brain already knows this and knows I’m not good enough and is preventing me from actually doing anything even preparing for my event which I know logically I have a strong chance of winning but subconsciously I’m held back. I don’t know what to do.
