And if you really cannot do those things, if you really can't NOT buy their sports games or Star Wars or any other product they have. And you really can't find games from other developers, then that's on you. They'll continue to take advantage of the market and you can't change that. All you can do is change what you do about it. It was about a new initiate to Unitology that goes by the alias “Vandal”. She’s ordered to destroy power conduits deep in the belly of The Sprawl, essentially unleashing the Necromorph horde of DeadSpace 2. She quickly begins questioning the intentions of her superiors after barely surviving a close encounter with “glorious Convergence”. It was a clean, sleek fully fleshed out classic Dead Space, third person survival horror! With its own unique bosses, weapons, and even music. The story was tight, well written and really gave you a feel for how delusional the Unitologists can be. Vandal even saves the Sprawl from exploding by killing a “larval” Hivemind curled around the reactor core. Sadly this game can no longer be played on modern mobile OS. But footage is probably still all over KZbin. Just search “Dead Space mobile”

The same could be said about a casino and 'Showbiz Pizza' -type establishment (to be hereafter collectively referred to as "C. Ratz Mediocre Pizza and Kiddie Casino Ltd.") or carnival or fair midways that are extremely heavy on non-skill games and games that misrepresent themselves as pure skill (or even pure luck) games when they aren't. Even the skill games are either capped on a payout or are so heavily weighted against the player as to be almost unwinnable. You can literally put a price tag on a ticket from one of these places (that offer them for exchange for prizes), because they know down to the cent how much someone has to spend to amass a certain number of them, and then they label the "prizes" accordingly, effectively selling them for a huge profit. A paid for "loot box" is effectively this (with the "prize" costing the service exactly zero). You want to know how much it will cost to get that one thing you want from a loot box? Figure out how often it drops from a loot box. Say it drops once in every hundred loot boxes (1%, which is way WAY over most drop rates for 'decent' items) there are 99 other possibilities. So, in some schemes you'd have to buy 100 boxes to ensure that you got that ONE result. These schemes subtract the items you already have from the random draw. This type of scheme I figure as the most fair as it allows you to actually get something you want, for a reasonable (for certain definitions of reasonable) price. Then there are the schemes that allow duplicate items. Most of the time, these items can be "sold back" for whatever in-game currency is available, but always for a tiny fraction of what you purchased the box for. So if you were to pay $1 for each loot box (or in-game currency equivalent to the purchase of said box) you could spend $100 and get EVERYTHING from scheme example 1. Or, you could spend $THOUSANDS and STILL never get what you want. Haven't played much of EA's style of loot box, so I'm not sure how they stack up here. But there *are* worse schemes going. As my example, add that second scheme, one that has multiple types of loot box, each for a large average price, that you purchase with a currency that you have to play the game (extremely well, or extremely often, no cash purchases here) to receive enough of to buy the maximum number of boxes available to you in a certain period of time. Each of these loot boxes has different items, and most if not all the rare items are tiny drop percentages within the box, with the box itself being a small percentage drop. Then to cap it off, the 'best' boxes require a key, paid for in real money, to open (without knowing what you'd get in the box). Say, you can get ten boxes a week, playing your heart (and/or wrists) out, it's a 1 in 5 shot to get the box you want, and a further 1 in 100 shot to get what you want. And the key to that box costs $1. You will get two of the box you want, on average, a week, spending $2 a week, trying to get that one item. But you will need to play for 1000 weeks, on average, spending $2000 to hit your magic number. With no guarantee you will ACTUALLY get that item. Or you could hit up your local reseller for 5 boxes for a dollar, which saves your wrists but bleeds your wallet, to the tune of $2,400 to (maybe) get your item. Or maybe just go to that same reseller and BUY said item for $500. It'd be faster and cheaper in the long run. That said, I have never bought a loot box with real money, paid real money for a key to a loot box, nor paid real money for any *random* cosmetic item, nor will I ever do so. I will not encourage the kind of greed that dangles a carrot high over a pit and expects you to jump for it, again and again and again, with no real hope of ever actually increasing your odds, much less progressing toward the goal; in fact, your odds of getting said item are probably go down as more and more content is introduced. Especially if you have to pay not only for the privilege of actually rolling those dice, but for the privilege of being ALLOWED to do so. Yes, PUBG, I'm looking at you. Micro-transactions, run by macro-greed. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind games developers and everyone involved making money. It allows quality games to be made. The other side of the coin is that *quality* games must be made to make money, and the amount of money should be proportional to how *good* the game is. Thankfully, PUBG is on the positive side of that scale (though some would argue about how far). A half-assed game that makes a killing because of a popular IP and the equivalent of an unregulated slot machine bilking hundreds of thousands of gamers out of cash because of "the shiny shiny" simply encourages more of and more layers of this kind of dreck. (Ok, I'm done... enough ranty, more posty).

Take a look at the roadmap they released for Battlefronts season 3, the map comes in “winter”. Wait don’t you mean maps? Nope one map. In a whole year, they will have released one map for their main game mode. The only maps they’ve released are small ones from the previous games and a small map from solo. This was a “live service” game. 0 new heroes. 0 big maps. 0 new weapons. But hey in 3 months we can make clones have a red stripe (even though all these customization options were found in the game files at launch, they just never flipped the switch). Unfortunately my favourite games were eaten by the EA machine (namely Dragon Age, Sims and Mass Effect), so I feel like I don't have a lot of choice if I want to play them. DA 1 and 2, as well as ME 1 and 2 are on Steam, but if you want the latest versions you have to purchase it via EA. There's simply no other game even close to the Sims genre (trust me, I checked), so if I want to play a life simulator I feel like I have no choice but to support EA. :( At least I don't buy all the DLCs.

Any company that replaces EA will become them after some time. It's a law of human nature to do the least work possible for the most money. The biggest problem I have with EA is that they make you pay full price for a title then include micro transactions for content. Either release the games FtP and let players pay for skins or include everything on release and charge $60 for the game, not both. I have a hard time thinking of any other company that does both.

I didn’t play Battlefront 2 because EA. Completely pissed that they shut down the production team for Dead Space. Having the audacity to defend Pay to win and saying that single player games aren’t as good as they used to be. These pieces of shit should be shut down, IDC if we don’t get madden TBH. Hopefully someone grabs the license for DS.

Fabulous Demonz You are such a helpless hypocrite, guys like you play GTA V, a game that almost forces you to pay 74$to buy a car and customize it but you don't complain about Rockstar and their sharkcards, and you still forget all the free DLCs that have been given for BF3 and BF4 the last few years, all of the DLCs for BF4 have been free at least 2 times in the last 3 years, those kind of gifts have been given only by EA, give me the name of another company that does this instead of trying to steal 74$ from people for 8 millions dollars in game which is nothing for GTA V, 74$ dollars is even more expensive than the game itself, and they even reduced it, it used to be for 10 millions so let's not talk about EA being the shit the trend of bashing it wants it to be especially when it tries to do good lately

The Bat-Tester I hope you realize that you haven't said anything at all that makes you seem even remotely intelligent. Learn how to shape a sentence before you start calling other people dumb. If you're gonna write a paragraph: A) make it one worth reading and B) have the brains to read the response. Saying the last sentence is all you need just makes you look even dumber than before. That's the point get your two brain cells together: everyone complains about EA while GTA is a 100 times worse. You play the brainy guy but you can't even understand what i'm saying and you're the one telling that i don't read responses lmao. Yeah. I will never buy any EA games ever again simply because of the lack of replay value since they shut down their servers. Poor business model and zero care for its customers
