I have mixed emotions on this one. Sure, I respect all gay and lesbian people, they are just like any of us, humans who have feelings or emotions. I have a great deal of respect and awe for them because even if there are still discrimination towards homosexuals, they still strive to fit in society as any other person would. But same sex marriage... I was raised to have a very Catholic way of life especially based on the Holy Bible. God made man and woman and of his own image and likeness and that man and woman, joined, will never be removed. I feel like if I approved to this... I'd be disobeying God's initial plan for humankind, at the same time, it makes me feel like a really bad person for "bringing down" our fellow homosexuals..

Heina Lyllan I was also raised as a Catholic in the Philippines. But after reading all of the Holy Bible, realized how biased and unfair most religious people are. Little do people know, every single Christian/ Catholic don't know that eating seafood is also bad based on the Bible. Wearing different, mixed fabrics is also bad. Eating pork is also bad. Yet people choose to bash on us LGBTQ people.

Heina Lyllan but, they don't really marry in a religious way, they marry in a legal way. so it's not connected in marrying in a church or something.

You are a hypocrite if you claim gays and lesbians are people, with emotions and feelings, and then claim they can't have the same rights as you, because you are not respecting them as people with feelings then. It's men (and not even women) who made God in their image. You cannot use God as an argument. Equality is more important than your beliefs.

Life is an issue of morality. Not an issue equal rights alone, to set aside absolute right. In the eyes of God we have no RIGHTS, to do whatever we like. The only rights we have is to do right in God's way... this for the sake of our life to live righteous... for the sake of immortality... for the sake of our children's future... Proverbs 12:In the way of righteousness there is life; along that path is immortality. (MM) As quote to more insights: "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path” (Psalm 119:105 NIV). When you need to make a decision, the first and ideal test is this: “Is my decision in harmony with God’s Word?” If you base your life on popular opinion, you’re always going to be out of date, because it changes every day. What was “in” yesterday will not be “in” today, and what’s “in” today will not be “in” tomorrow. If you base your life on popular culture, political correctness, or opinion polls, you will struggle because you’re building on a shifting foundation! On the other hand, if you base your life on God’s Word, the truth never changes. Truth is always true. So if God says something was wrong 10,000 years ago, it was also wrong 500 years ago, it’s wrong today, and it will be wrong 1,000 years from today. I don’t care what opinion polls and political correctness and the media say. If God says it’s wrong, it’s wrong. It always has been, and it always will be. If God says it’s right, it will always be right. That is a solid foundation!Anytime you violate God’s principles, you’re asking for trouble. Good pm! (Doc TJ)

Plus not to mention not being able to have kids in a natural way through birth, so unless you adopt a kid, I doubt that couples can be productive, yet again, heterosexual couple is responsible for giving birth to those same kids you adopt.

The preamble at most is a mere introduction. If you finish reading the constitution, it makes no mention of which god it is referring to. It does not mention with religion/faith that god belongs to. At its core the constitution is agnostic and we should maintain the separation of church and state
@anyareph7235 жыл бұрын
@@diegoveloso3rd But our constitution are based on divine law and natural law long before these ssm advocators want to change the entire constitution for their "equal rights on marriage" using SSM In fact its violating the marriage itself that us from divine law as a holy union of man and woman. If SSM advocators want to have conjugal rights on their properties the should have to propose another law to achieve it without violating the holy sacrament of marriage thats in the first place created by God for men and women only. There is no such thing on the separation of church and state here because they doing their part well. SSM advocators should not use marriage but use "legal papers on own properties just like on patnership, or co-ownership etc"
@diegoveloso3rd5 жыл бұрын
@@anyareph723 The constitution being based on divine law is finnicky because it can neither be proved nor disproved imho. because it depends on thousands of variations of divine law. There is no mention naman of religious weddings/unions. This refers to state/civil unions. At most this is a paper recognized by the govt/state and not a holy sacrament with sacred aspects. If you dont like it, then dont allow it in your faith. However once anyone dictates how a law should go based on their religious definitions/ideology, thats already problematic.
