Tell him hell never have a girlfriend watching people like Tate, especially not a long term girlfriend (or partner, I don't mean to insinuate but largely there are no gay Tate fans lol) nobody actually likes people like that in real life, that's why a majority of his fans are incels. He's also a sex trafficker, you could leverage that as well but entirely up to you if you want to go that far. 14 is an influential age, but you can also reason with them far better than when they're younger. If he won't listen to you because you're his mom, try having a sibling or someone else talk to him. I wish you the best 👍✌

No it doesn't, though? Escaping the matrix is *co-opted* by the Architect until Neo stops thinking about justice and starts thinking about love. Because love is harder to co-opt. That part was about how our talk of justice is co-opted by reactionaries and leads to fascism propping up the neoliberal system.
@vylbird8014
@vylbird8014 Жыл бұрын
@@Jane-oz7pp Ugh.. now I have to think about things after the first film. But unpleasant as it is... from what I remember, the Architect explained that escaping was part of the matrix - a correction to a flaw in the design. It wasn't long-term stable - keeping people trapped in there caused some technical problem. A slowly accumulating imbalance which would eventually bring the whole system down, unless certain people were allowed the choice to leave. As the problem was too fundamental to correct, the Architect incorporated the ability to leave in to the design by setting up the 'resistance' - the small population of free humans who would believe they are fighting against the machines, ignorant of their own essential role in keeping the matrix functional. At some long interval the whole system would still need rebooting, as the accumulated errors grow too great to contain and manifest in the appearance of 'The One'. When that machines wipe out most of the free humans, reboot the whole matrix, and use The One as a component in starting up the next iteration. The cycle broke in the end because Agent Smith screwed up everything - his self-replication destruction threatened to destroy everything beyond repair and only Neo possessed the capability to stop him, which gave Neo the bargaining power he needs to negotiate a cease-fire: He'll fight Smith if the machine leadership agrees to cease the cycle of destruction and try to return to peaceful coexistence with humans.

One thing they don't tell you about the Matrix (which they should have picked up on by watching the movie) is that there's nothing left outside the matrix. The guys running the whole thing have blasted it so only they can inhabit it. Neo was a crew-serviced weapon who had an entire commune dedicated to preparing him for his role. There is no village of resistance members waiting for the chosen one to arrive for any of these people. If you leave the matrix and return, the only power you gain is the ability to know that everything is fake. No control, just awareness.

"escaping the matrix" to me always kinda meant achieving class consciousness, realizing that we deserve more, that capitalism is bad, from each according to their ability, to each according to their needs? workers should have the means of production. that shit. reading "the state and revolution," by lenin and realizing how messed up shit is, not joining a discord to learn about drop shipping. The Matrix is capitalism, that's one of the main things the Matrix was an allegory for in the film 'The Matrix' as well as being an allegory for breaking out of the gender binary. Saying money is step one to getting out of the matrix is just taking the blue pill. Tate isn't Morpheus, he's the bald guy with the Goatee that betrays Morpheus so he can stay in the Matrix and eat steak and enjoy carnal pleasures like women and cars. The profound ability of conservative men to misinterpret media astounds me, it's like he's debating a 20 year old film and losing.

Added joke: The chess move circa 11:20 is Kings Pawn opening. The move is widely known as the most bland, boring, over-done opening in chess. It's effective, yes - it's a perfectly fine strategy. It just says "You've seen this a thousand times, and now it's a thousand and one." If you're going to try to use a dramatic scene with a chess opening, at least go for something like the Tennison. But is this an accident? Or is the choice of the most uninteresting opening in chess a very intentional message about the film?

Tate is a bit like The Analyst from the fourth film. He's just recapitulating "The Matrix", but in his own image.

It might just be the most based take ever to view all society as "The Matrix." Seeing all of society as illegitimate and something to be overcome is just absolutely fascinating. This dude basically declares himself a god (or prophet, at the very least) and seems to believe it.

Wait, is _that_ what soap cutting videos are? I thought it was just people cutting soap. Why is it all those tiny cubes?? I mean, that's certainly more visually interesting, but why??

As someone who really spent nearly 2 decades escaping the Matrix, it's not worth it kids. Just ride put this shitty wave until it all comes to its inevitable crash. The apocalypse is our only salvation. Just try to make the best of our gilded slavery for now.

I don't know much about Andrew Tate, but apparently even he can get held by the police on trumped up charges, so I don't understand what makes him so special.

Love that they don't realize that in the way they use the word, "the matrix" literally just means "the capitalism" . Which is why the only answer they can come up with us to capitalism harder. Buncha hamsters running in their fun wheels
