After taking a rabbit hole trip down the story times other then money like you said the other factor is extending invitations to people outside the group they didn't know well. The outside person was either a crash out or had no money and expected people to chip in for them.

DO NOT go on a girls trip if you’re in a relationship or married. These trips are often a chance for single women to gallivant in “sexual liberty.” Especially a party capital like Miami. Your boyfriend or husband may not say it, but they likely won’t respect it. Do all that stuff while you’re still single.
