As a guy who follows politics in almost all democracies, Rankings that use statistics instead of interviews with undisclosed people always rank India much much higher than these and also the news coming out from them about India is a lot more positive than these rankings. For example, last year UN ranked India number 1 in pocerty reduction, with fastest reduction in poverty with over 400 million pulled out of poverty. I can give several such examples. India does have many problems but when you know the problems in other countries, you would realise that India is far better and comparable to Europe in democracy, independence of judiciary, religious freedom, and many other rankings.

Hi, everyone should know about this. My mother is an anganwadi teacher in Haryana, so I know the reality of some reports. The government is so active in removing malnourishment in children that they are provided with everything from cooked meals, milk powder, medication etc. It's mandatory to register every child in the survey. Sudden inspections are done to check the credibility. These reports are submitted monthly and progress is monitored.

sorry to say this but happiness i do agree that hapiness index in india is extremely low competive exams are making everyone's life worse unhealth competitive environment you are not allowed to think diffrent cause of others people from small town cannot think any carrier option except the obvious one people are becoming more and more lonely indian teen boys are not able to talk to teen girls everyone i know are depressed some make out of it but most of them are just stuck. there was a time when i just wanted everything to end. i was literally wishing ki world war ho jaaye aur sab khtm ho jaaye. currently i'm feeling much better but i can assure you pepole from my village who are dependent on government ration shop are much more happy than i ever will be. it's not government it's our culture that is fucked up you can have all the wealth but still be unhappy because of the toxicity. and according to us we have best culture we taught world acceptance but somehow we cannot accept the guy who failed in school. the guy who gets less marks than his friend. the person who earn less than his friends. the person who loves someone from other relegion or cast. but somehow we claim that we are capable of being vishwaguru. this competitive has fucked up this country in worst way possible. just ask someone who has failed in exams after studying for years he will prefer to go to war than his current way of living
