Oh he definitely abuses that equipment!! 😂😂😂. Great video, very insightful. Godox are the only flashes I’ve ever used, they’re the best!

😁😁😁 we use it appropriately I’d say. Thanks dude 🙌

I couldn't agree more. I've been in the business for 56 years so you can imagine how many equipment evolutions I've gone through, and year to date, the Godox system is the best for the price bar-none.

Love this! You’ve been doing it longer than anyone I know so that is amazing that you agree. Also, dude, that is incredible that you’ve gotten to do this for so long. I’ve only been shooting for 17 years and I tell people I love this more today than I did when I started. Not only has it afforded me my life that I get to live but I can now create any image I can think of (to a certain degree of course) with all the knowledge I’ve picked up through the years. Congrats on 56 years man 🙌

I love how all of your videos lately have been so relevant to the photography community. I love my AD 200 & 400 never had misfires with either one of them. I personally shoot with the V1. And never had a problem with the battery.

Thank you Ron! And thank you for bringing that up about the V1! I just filmed a video about the TT685 and I discuss that that issue happened with a Neewer or Yongnuo one back in 2014/2015 so I'm sure they worked it out since, but solid input, thank you!

No regrets with my Godox gear. Like you mentioned, super reliable and affordable. I got about six years with TT685S flashes and just recently replaced them. Considering all the jobs throughout those years, you can’t beat the return on investment.

Exactly! You can’t be mad about it breaking when it’s paid for itself many times over 🙌

Great info on the Godox system! I shoot with the real budget system, Neewer, but am waiting for any of it to stop working so that I can switch to Godox. I have a question about the transmitter, are you able to turn off the flash from it. Like if you’re shooting with 2 flashes, but only want to use 1 for the next shot, can you turn it off from the transmitter? With my current system I have to physically turn off the flash that I don’t want firing.
@TNKPhoto6 ай бұрын
Great question dude! We were on neewer for a while too but just how you’re describing, there were some limitations. You can shut off and turn on any flashes on different groups from the remote. So sometimes we have a flash in the back, but it just doesn’t look good so I just go in and shut off B from the remote. Now only the front flash goes off. I’m gonna post a video on budget starter lighting kit I would recommend if you wanted to make the switch 🙌

What do you use to mount your AD200? Great info as usual!
@TNKPhoto5 ай бұрын
Thank you! Usually we use the MagShoe but there are some options. I’ll make a video on this. Thank you for the suggestion

TNK, is that red cover the Flashpoint Silicone Skin? Does it fit the Godox AD200 Pro? Does it make the flash run hot? Do you think it protects it well? Thanks for the informative video.
@TNKPhoto6 ай бұрын
Hey John! Yes it is! Honestly, man it's saved our flashes more times than I can count. I'm gonna make a video about it this week actually. But here's the link. And it does work with the pro. I did cut a little piece of it to make the on/off button more accessible. I'll show it in the video. Thank you for asking and giving me the idea to make a video on that www.adorama.com/fplfevpsk1r.html?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw17qvBhBrEiwA1rU9w9V3J8hpw1AE3oM6U7IJOGlE3UyYuSEIxds1kAxhrDa1NKpH-6XILhoC7YEQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&

@@TNKPhoto Elmer, thanks so much for the reply. That would be a good topic for a video. I use Westcott for studio type work, but I am going to switch to the Godox AD200 (due to Magmod working so well with them) for field work and I think the silicone protector is a great idea. Thanks again. 👍 Hockingphoto

Why do you not menton the ad300pro. I am a hobbyist with two speedlights, and i am thinking about buying 2 ad300pros because I am afraid that 2 ad200pros will give me barely enough light, but 300s will give me more flexibility. Is there a reason to go with 200s instead of 300s?
@TNKPhoto6 ай бұрын
That’s a great question! The reason I haven’t used the 300 is because the Magmod modifiers that I use work on the 200 but they wouldn’t work on the 300 until they came out with the XL line. I would say generally speaking about 200 will get you by in pretty harsh conditions. If you check out one of our other videos where we talk about shooting in midday sun or why we think it’s still the best one in 2023, it’ll show you some examples of it being used in midday. Of course I’d love to hear your input if you get the 300 and if you find that to be even better. Thank you for watching 🙏

I love my ad200 so much, but I have dropped and broke them. Any tips on flash care/safety, and how to watch out to not drop them haha. Maybe that’s a personal problem haha

Adorama has a bumper/skin for the AD200.
