Thanks for your reminders on keeping the mental game in check. I’ve gotten better since the years ago that I started watching your videos. One point that really stood out: not wanting to ruin the round for everyone else just because yours isn’t going well. I have seen many people pout and ruin the group’s energy, myself included at times shamefully, but it is a great point to remember and strive for. Golf is supposed to be fun after all!

Rio Secco is such a cool course, one of my favorites in Vegas. My one and only albatross came on 17! Its one of those courses that is so much more fun from the white tees than the blues.

Thank you so much for these videos. You just inspired me so much when I saw you in the bunker with the fried egg. Watching you laugh through that was so eye opening and I found myself laughing with you and in a genuinely good mood after seeing it. Thank you for the content, man. You’ve made a MASSIVE impact on my mental game, and course management. Thank you!

I love this course, but the set up is really challenging. The greens here are no joke, Adam. Big breakers even inside of 5 feet. Important question! what kind of camera do you have that survives a full round in the Vegas heat without overheating? 🥵

Yesterday, I started double, double, triple. Didn't get down on myself, put some pars together and a birdie. Ended up shooting 85, beating my 16hc. Getting mad just ruins your round.

Hey Adam, was wondering about your thinking on that 2nd shot on the 11th. (Granted, with the gift of hindsight) Why choose the 3 wood instead of a lay up club? It was a far ways away and into wind. Was there something about the lie, maybe the green seemed open to you? I'm just wondering for my own edification. Thanks man, love the channel!

That bunker lie was diabolical. Last week I played at a new course that was somewhat short and fairly wide open and shot my best ever score of 78 (was away from golf for 10yrs or so and haven't broken 90 in the year I've been back). Been grinding a lot in my home sim and finally found something, especially focusing on tempo swinging at what feels like 75%. I'm sure that means next time I'm gonna go out and shoot a 95 🤣
@starks19745 ай бұрын
That bunker shot...drop it out and take the 1 stroke penalty. I'm doing that more as it's not worth the aggravation with impossible sand shots. And you are a bigger man than me hitting a fwy wood out of a bunker too.
@paulthomson22885 ай бұрын
Thought you might have declared an unplayable and perhaps salvaged a triple or better rather than a quintuple bogey?
@jacksondavis77625 ай бұрын
Not 100% but you might get a drop after that first bunker shot due to an embedded ball. Not sure if that would count or not. I'm definitely writing down a 7 here and moving on. lol

@alanduncan92045 ай бұрын
Top Tip. When you get a really horrific lie in a bunker, declare it unplayable and take a penalty drop in the bunker. You end up with a better lie get it out and not run up a Cricket score.
@westinpeace12345 ай бұрын
No point, assuming you try to hit it, if you fail you’re still in the bunker. At least give yourself a chance because you’re going to be in the bunker next shot anyway.
@KDG7025 ай бұрын
@@westinpeace1234when taking the unplayable lie you can drop outside of the bunker if the outside is within two club lengths. If you can hit your shot out of grass you should. It’s better psychologically to take the drop than to hack at an awful lie in a bunker a few times. Sure it’s cool to try but unless you seriously plan on playing on tour it’s better to just give yourself a good lie so you can have a better time playing.
@westinpeace12345 ай бұрын
@@KDG702 Ok you can do that but it isn’t 2 club lengths, it’s the line that it went in the bunker. Also it is a 2 stroke penalty so it’s like local rules for OB. Still not wise if you ask me.
@Mrsaulteestrawman5 ай бұрын
For everyone saying take a drop from the bunker lie. Instead just hood the wedge and pop it out. You open the wedge the bounce will do what? That's right bury the ball deeper.

I think the 15th hole was an 11 since you grounded the club Bad day but it will get better

I use swing tweaks, its getting to be inconsistent instruction. In one tweak my instructor points out rotation, then points me to a video that has me lifting my trail heal to help turn.. the following tweak, the same instructor says not to do that... They wanna keep you chasing that carrot, keep you coming back!
