gore DD maw effectively converts your AD into very good survivability, combined with another cdr item makes this combo really good on a lot of champs that want to function similarly (fiora kayn etc)

could you do an episode on a challenger vi player called dumpalol, he goes a variety of builds on her but got to challenger with umbral glaive vi into trinity which is very rare for vi to build

bro i have 1m mastery on graves I've been preaching the classic season 5-6 bruiser build with goredrinker and strikebreaker since the start of season 11 im so hype its finally catching on. it rly is so much fun, i don't play that much anymore bc I have a career and a newborn baby now but it only took 50ish games to get back into diamond this season rocking a very similar build to this vid. i do tend to go for a more offensive item over the maw if I'm ahead but that new maw passive can be insanely clutch.

I'm glad he doesn't take flash or I would be flashing into people for goredrinker procs. Graves R is almost an execute when he has lethality. There has been a few games where I show up and just ult to get the kill when bruiser builds wouldn't have.

Graves was always a burst ad caster. Especially in season 6 7 where u could cancel the ult knock back or when the q would insta explode on walls.

I said 'graves was not good the past 2 seasons' Talking about season 11 + 12(not 10+11 like you assumed), in the same way I said 'used to be a bruiser jungler' and briefly mentioned multiple seasons. Im not talking exact metrics in the video and your comment tries to flame me for that when it was just a quick summary of the state of the champ. But if you do want to be disproven for facts too: For the first half of 2021 graves had a 47% winrate. Eventually it stabalised out to 50%, but he has always had terrible matchups vs the meta junglers. We had udyr hecarim meta - graves farmed slower than both, ganked worse and was worse for his team later on. His pickrate in pro play dropped 15% in 2021 with no good synergy with items - Galeforce was most popular and it just doesnt work well because of the crit+attack speed not being ideal. You can pick xin zhao, go goredrinker 95% of games(as pros do) and be the best frontliner as well as DPS champ possible. Graves just had no place in the meta jungle. (thats why he is now a top laner who absuses range to get ahead in CS + just pressure side lane) Even now in 2022 - he still has a bad winrate and especially still has terrible matchups vs Xin, Trundle, Reksai. Also if you disagree with the commentary you dont have to watch xD I just use soloq stats, pro stats and my own soloq opinion(Of which graves is one of my most played champions ever and I would play him in competitive teams from season 7-10) to set up viewers with information.

Taking over = more people are trying it, becoming more popular. Also - the PvE you mention is just how graves is played, his goal is to farm as much as possible because the champ can do it so super fast + get lots of items very quickly - making him a very strong carry.

For me this build does nothing that shieldbow graves can’t do, plus shieldbow actually lets you do damage, that build should be good in a 2 tanks or more enemy team but it definitely isn’t a every game build

Eh not really. This bruiser build gives you a lot of AH even with just 2 or 3 items. With a full build 6 items, you could get up to 140 or even 170AH which is insane

As someone with a lot of graves games in diamond+ - I have always hated shieldbow on graves. It feels like the perfect balance of 0 damage as well as 0 resistances. At least with eclipse you still get a ton of early lethality and can still win 1v1s with the shielding. Shieldbow just wastes so much gold on the crit and attack speed which aren't ideal for this champ.

Sorry but if u don't build crit or lethality on graves ur a dummy. Doesn't matter what this guy does or what u say in the end graves scales too hard with those stats u can certainly win games nonetheless but if u say that this build is more 1v9 than the crit one ur straight lying. It's opposite this build requires a team to work. Thumbs down from me

There are many reasons you are wrong, but the most important - World finals 2020 SOFM tank rengar. If we follow your logic - rengar should never buy an item that isnt AD based, however even in the World Quarters, semis and finals - this player proved that alternative playstyles are just as viable, playing Rengar as an annoying tank. If you want more evidence of this - check the 70+ videos on my main channel of players doing 'non optimal' builds to still have success in soloq as well, showing the same point applies outside pro play: kzbin.info.

My point is u can't say this is 1v9 cause it's the opposite. If u don't have to carry u can offmeta build. If u gotta 1v9 u go crit on graves. If u don't then u can build basically anything.

Just like goredrinker graves, its not alll about pro play, thats why i gave you another example so you didnt respond with 'only works with good teammates'. You unfortunatly still did.
