Shanahan isn't that dissimilar from Reid, trajectory wise. It doesn't make Super Bowl losses any less painful. But if he ever gets a generational QB (like his dad or Reid) then he's winning multiple SBs whether it's in SF or elsewhere. The segment of 49er fans that think it would be wise to move on have gotten so accustomed to being one of the most relevant franchises over the past 4-5 years that they take it for granted and think someone like Chip Kelly or Mike Singletary could do it.

You are 1 million percent correct. The same things Kyle is hearing, Reid heard about him not being able to win the big game. When he got Mahommes, the narrative changed. Kyle has been to the Superbowl with JimmyG and Purdy. 2 qbs that are no where near Mahommes as far as qb'ing. If Kyle can ever get a bigtime qb, he'll win multiple sb's. He's limited to what he can do because he does not have a qb that can go deep at will.

Just as positive as Lombardi is. And as negative as Grant is. I listen to both, there’s nothing wrong with both sides, I actually appreciate that there is a part of the fan base that is pessimistic and is positive. I lean to the positive side but I also respect the pessimistic side cause I do feel that way sometimes when it comes to my team or anything. I disagree with Grant Cohn most times but I respect him and his perspective and analysis cause it’s different! Great interview!
