GTA 6 will most likely be the last GTA game made but that doesn’t mean the only rockstar game we’ll be playing is GTA 6 for next 20 years. It’s already been confirmed (not by rockstar but by leaks) that they’re working on new IP’s that’ll be releasing after gta 6. Im all for a new IP from rockstar.

It depends on how old you are currently. If GTA 6 lasts well past 2040 it will most certainly be the last GTA for players who are currently in their late 40s and older. Imagine being 63 years old in 2040. Rockstar announces GTA 7. It likely will not release until close to 2050. That means you will be in your 70s when the game comes out. Depending on your health at best you might be too sick to play it. At worst you might be dead.

i believe it's imperative for the single player to have shelf life! similar to SA, IV, and RDR2 in Rockstar's arsenal, when the single player portion is playable for ages it will live on forever. in my PERSONAL opinion, V is the elephant in the room when it relates to single player replayability. whereas the three titles I listed can be played start to finish with a different spin on every playthrough. obviously being that it's a post GTAO title, it's online will inevitably be the cash cow for over a decade but a PROPER single player experience will keep the game fresh when (solo) online lobbies turn sour after 2-3 years. (not to mention single player is accessible offline on consoles, gotta keep those offline gems on your storage when you need em)

The best way to keep VI alive for an extended duration would be to have to ability to fly into a 2025 Liberty City/Los Santos. Rockstar loves futuristic bullshit. A Time Machine/transporter to 1986 Vice City, 1992 San Andreas, 2001 Liberty City (unlikely, trust me I understand the universe thing). Continued modernization of single player campaign with DLC.

I'm guessing that GTA 6 will be the last GTA 6 unless Rockstar will do some sort of like episodic DLC content for GTA 6 like they did with GTA 4. I think it would be great for Rockstar to make a GTA game where the protagonist is a member of the Triads or the Yakuza or something.

The mapping community doesn’t know exactly what is at the top of the map yet, but that’ll be the GTA 6 Launch map still. That doesn’t mean they won’t add other locations later on though.

I remember hearing that the RTX 2000 series of graphics card would be the last, but then the same thing was said about the RTX 3000 series. Even the PlayStation 4 was proclaimed to be the last one, but then came the PlayStation 5. Technology constantly improves at a fast pace. The upcoming RTX 5000 series is expected to be far more powerful than the current RTX 4000 series, and with AI powering most cards and other hardware, things will soon look breathtakingly real. Faster storage is also on the horizon; NVMe drives with PCIe 5.0 are slightly better, and further improvements are being made to eliminate loading times and reduce bottlenecks. DLSS FSR and XESS are also improving at a rapid pace. DLSS is still relatively new for RTX 4000 cards, but it will now be a significant improvement for the 5000 series. With the new ARC graphic card from Intel, who knows what improvements they will make to their CPUs. They could even find a way to offload the graphic performance of games with their new ARC by integrating their findings into their CPUs. It's a great video, but that is partially wrong because unless the CEO steps out of the development out of satisfaction and accomplishment and doesn't feel like promoting someone else to work on the following Grand Theft Auto titles. After all, Max Payne, Midnight Club, Bully-those are dead. Red Dead Redemption 2 could definitely be the last of its kind if you look at how badly they treated their online community. So if that happen, this will not be because of technology.

I have been playing GTA 4 a couple years after that has been released and I have been playing GTA since Midnight release September 17 2013, I plan on playing GTA 6 from day 1 through the 2040’s, then I don’t care, I have countless other things to keep my mind occupied, plus, I don’t have a addiction type personality, so any spare time I have to be able to play 6, is victory, also if I can play not just 6, but 5 and 4 well into retirement…. I see that as a massive win, between gaming out a ton more during retirement, I’ll finally be able to really appreciate relaxation time, not that I don’t already but just appreciate it just a bit more

there is yet to be one gta left to be made in the 3D and HD universe, GTA LONDON. but in all honesty i dont think gta will end at 6, its a money making machine no matter what, i guess it all comes to weather the investors or whatever is interested in making gta games, maybe in the future weil get younger investors that will anyways, but yeh i still want them to revisit vegas and francisco/diego, or at least create a new time line again in new york making it bigger and LA this time adding diego and vegas in it as well like in SA. ambitious mindset i know but you never know, GTA10 might be the whole USA if we ever get there one day lol

I think 6 should be the last gta but add on the ability to fly Liberty City and fly to a completed (all construction sites) Los Santos including a massive new bridge from Fort Zancudo to South Bay of San Fiero and Las Venturas. Put all locations and mission types, Vigilante Paramedic and fire fighter. Basically give us everything GTA has ever done in GTA 6.. And for fun give us the Deluxo so when we hit 88 mph we can fast travel to RDR2.

I play RDO daily on XBox, PS4, and PC and every time I'm in the game the lobbies are always thriving 20-27 people which has been the norm lobby size since it came out of Beta testing. RDO is still alive and well, R* is the only one that has abandoned the game.

nah cuz video games will always compete for better graphics, detail, stories, etc. soon as rockstar starts feeling the pressure from competitors they will start cooking some new things up, could be like some call of duty thing where every new game becomes some kind of “add on” to the original, but only time will tell and we dont have time machines so its all speculation at the end of the day🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️
