You know man iv'e been watching your videos and i have made up my mind about you. You are probably 1 of 3 Haitian youtubers that do not fall for the anti-Dominican campaign and understand how Haitian govt is the biggest reason why Haiti is the way it is. I consider myself a Dominican nationalists but i do not condone Hate based on race but i do fight with people who lack education and spread misinformation about my Dominicans. I seen in your videos how you are sincerely concerned for your Nation and that i can respect in just about anyone, anyone who loves their country and their people will prosper which is something Haitian political leaders have never really shown and the white elites. I can never Hate all Haitians for what they are going to because at the end of the day they are Human just like me, i met some really nice Haitians when i was little living in the DR and many that worked for my dad, Haiti has an abundance of Gold that has not been exploited and other minerals, Haiti has extreme potential believe me, but of course in order to get to Dr's level of development it will require a great reset, the elites and govt needs to be expunged or jailed. But most importantly... The Haitian people need to build better relations with Dominicans so that Dominicans can learn to trust Haitians once again and invest in Haiti, remember what happened during Lionels presidency? he went to inaugurate a university the Dominican government built in Haiti and was literally blocked off in Haitis presidential palace with death threats, this soured our relationship severely. I do not believe in unity between both nations as i know it will never be allowed by neither party but i do believe Haiti and Dominicans need to develop better relations, Claude Joseph definitely is single handedly the #1 reason why this new govt does not want anything to do with Haiti, this man and other Haitian political figures are ruining the chances for Haitians to seek a better way of life, Dominicans like myself do not care if 2-4M Haitians live in DR the problem is what are those 2-4M Haitians contributing to Dominican society? very small amount of that and i will dare say maybe 10% of that population are regulated and are integrated into DOminican society so in my view these Haitians are completely fine in my eyes, it's the 90% of the other ones who live in DR un regulated, that cannot really contribute to Dominican society since they cannot pay taxes and invest in their ow education and medical since it's free for all. This is what Haitians need to understand! it's the same way in every country if you are an immigrant. I wish nothing but the best for the zoe's i even have a Haitian Half brother who's mother is 100% Haitian and family and i love all of those Christian folks.

I can never hate on Dominicans. My wife is Dominican, I have a beautiful half Haitian and Dominican son. Most importantly two of my best friends are Dominicans that I met in the US Army. One of them I deployed with to Iraq, he’d died for me and vice versa. The other one is my business partner in the DR. Yes there are some things that are not being done properly, but at the end of the day I only blame the Haitian government. That’s all.

Don’t just blame the leaders of Haiti! There are outside forces that are contributing to Haiti’s unrest. That’s exactly what they want!!

Let’s start by stopping blaming other nation for Haiti problems. The Dominican Republic has experienced significant periods of unrest throughout its history, marked by colonial struggles, political instability, and social upheaval. Here are some key periods of unrest in the country's history: ### Colonial Era and Independence (1492-1844) **Spanish Colonization (1492-1795):** - The island of Hispaniola was the first site of European colonization in the Americas by Christopher Columbus in 1492. - Native Taíno population was decimated due to diseases, forced labor, and violence. - The colony faced constant pirate attacks and conflicts with neighboring colonies. **Haitian Occupation (1822-1844):** - After the Haitian Revolution, Haiti occupied the entire island, including present-day Dominican Republic, in 1822. - Dominicans resented the occupation due to heavy taxation, cultural suppression, and forced labor. **Independence from Haiti (1844):** - The Dominican Republic declared independence from Haiti on February 27, 1844, led by Juan Pablo Duarte and the Trinitarians. ### Early Republic and Political Instability (1844-1916) **First Republic (1844-1861):** - Political instability marked by frequent changes in leadership and internal conflicts. - Efforts to establish a stable government were undermined by power struggles among elites. **Annexation by Spain (1861-1865):** - President Pedro Santana annexed the Dominican Republic back to Spain, hoping to stabilize the country. - The Restoration War (1863-1865) resulted in the expulsion of Spanish forces and reestablishment of independence. **Caudillo Rule and Instability (1865-1916):** - Power struggles among military leaders (caudillos) like Buenaventura Báez and Ulises Heureaux. - Heureaux’s assassination in 1899 led to further instability and economic crisis. ### U.S. Occupation and Trujillo Era (1916-1961) **First U.S. Occupation (1916-1924):** - The United States occupied the Dominican Republic to stabilize the country and protect U.S. interests. - Infrastructure improvements were made, but Dominicans resented foreign control. **Rafael Trujillo’s Dictatorship (1930-1961):** - Trujillo seized power in 1930, establishing a brutal dictatorship marked by political repression, censorship, and human rights abuses. - Trujillo’s regime maintained stability through fear and violence, but was also marked by economic development. ### Post-Trujillo and Modern Era (1961-Present) **Post-Trujillo Transition (1961-1965):** - Trujillo’s assassination in 1961 led to a chaotic power struggle. - Juan Bosch was democratically elected in 1962 but was overthrown in a 1963 military coup. **Civil War and Second U.S. Occupation (1965-1966):** - A civil war broke out in 1965 between supporters of Bosch and the military-backed government. - The U.S. intervened militarily to prevent a potential communist takeover, leading to the establishment of Joaquín Balaguer’s presidency. **Balaguer’s Rule and Subsequent Political Evolution (1966-2000):** - Balaguer ruled for 22 years (1966-1978, 1986-1996) with a mix of authoritarianism and democratic reforms. - Economic growth occurred alongside human rights abuses and electoral fraud. **Modern Democratic Period (2000-Present):** - Since 2000, the Dominican Republic has experienced more stable democratic governance. - Political challenges persist, including corruption, crime, and social inequality. These periods of unrest have shaped the Dominican Republic's political and social landscape, contributing to the complex history of the nation.
