I love how schools give zero 💩s about diversity when they're majority white... and suddenly care so much about diversity the number of Asian students creeps near the number of white students. It's a complete joke at this point. It's a fact that Asian students perform better on average than non-Asian students. Let them reap the rewards of that just like white people do everywhere else and they used to for all of Harvard's and the Ivies' history.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU so much for pointing this out. As an Asian and Korean, it's just horrible we get our efforts disregarded in the name of "racial diversity". Just because we are a different race does not mean we had any type of privilege throughout 12 years of school. Classifying students of their races when it comes to school applications not only is a huge disadvantage for Asian students, but is also dishonorable for students of other races. Can't believe the future generation of the world who will be working together, regardless of their race, are getting educated at schools that incorporate racism in one of the worst methods possible. I call this system real racism and something that needs change NOW.

MOST people who apply to Harvard are exceptional candidates, yet they STILL get rejected. They only accept 4% of applicants. But Asians are the main ones who go to the media complaining about this. Our high school valedictorian got rejected by Harvard and she had a 5.0 GPA and was a black belt in Taekwondo. And she is a Latina. YES! Once more calling out prejudice- this video should be sent to every elected official, every college president, every parent of any student trying to get into the IVY leagues. No one should be supporting institutions that have double standards, or have a sliding scale of acceptance without being up-front about it. If a University has certain standards and a student can't keep up, maybe they should work harder. Or don't apply to schools that are specifically, academically, competitive- just to gain bragging rights. Talk about lowering the bar to keep Karen and Kyles kiddies in a high value school. Isn’t that racist to be denied a spot in college because of a stereotype? Little to they know, the Asian stereotype of being smart comes from generations of child/family abuse. It’s not like it was our choice to be smart. It was the desire to be academically smart, and that had become the tradition with intense pressure forced against the child’s will. I didn’t even realize this for a long time myself, so I doubt many non-Asians do. When I say that my twin brother is smart because he’s Asian, I don’t literally mean that. It’s a joke to reclaim this dark ancestral history in a humorous light. Luckily, our parents were never strict and demanding us to elite universities. But imagine, if your parents were like this, and you were finally able to satisfy them with your academic achievements. Then, Harvard rejects you because there’s too much of you Asians. That’s got to be the most fucked up fate, yet that no one cares about. Sometimes, I wish those ignorant people in charge of college admissions were to wake up Asian so they can understand.

They don't let in rural valedictorians, either. It's always a pipeline from a wealthy urban county.

By personality, these colleges also mean they are looking for people who will give back to them and donate to them as well. The reality is that most Asians do not donate, come back and offer jobs as leaders to their college when they become alums. They focus on becoming worker bees and that's not what these colleges (especially ivy leagues) are looking for. Other races do this more which is also one reason why Asians are less accepted into some of these colleges. They are looking for someone who can be a potential leader that gives back to their college when they graduate.

I'm Asian, scored perfectly on the SAT (my brother did as well), played 3 instruments and was good in math. Of course Harvard Law rejected me. A society can't have competent individuals. We need to make people feel better about themselves.
