I think you have hit the nail on the head about the problems we face and why Pakistan is where it is today politically and economically. I think you should also talk about the lack of education among Pakistanis in general which leads to the notions of a Messiah or supporting parties and leaders based on social status and cast. I think the biggest struggle Pakistani people have right now is getting the right education which enlightens their thinking and broadens their capacity to think for themselves and gives them confidence in making the right choices when it comes to politics. 2ndly i think you should also talk about checks and balances in our political system and how their is an absolute absence of any accountability on part of the politicians and those working in the civil military sectors.

India was never "secular". The only reason why India remained "secular" on paper was because without it there would have been multiple Nation States instead of a India. Those during the time of partition were very much aware of the pre-mughal/british India which was governed by the 'Manuvadi' system. Nobody from punjab to kerala or assam to maharashtra or bengal had any idea of what a India governed by Hindus or a hindu rastra would be like. That's the reason Ambedkar being a Dalit was serious with the constitution. What RSS achieved in the last 70 yrs is that they changed the education system to a large extend which taught about the caste atrocities revised it by overly demonizing the mughals and the British which helped them hijack the minds of the general population and accept the rss led bigotry of a 'hindu rastra' which their ancestors once opposed.

To know the main reason, we need to find its root cause started from "Objective Resolution - 1949 to Martial Laws to Selection of Nawaz to Rejection of Imran Khan..... Only Army is not totally and wholly and solely wrong, there are many other factors too! Lack of Leadership and Vision Clarity, Strategy(s), Specific Goals and many other Socio-Economic factors i.e. Economic, Educational, Political Models and still lot more factors, can't be described here as this space is too short and not enough. To cut it short, we must not and can never blame only one factor for whole disaster or destruction rather we must think it with "Systematic Thinking" where all the components working together produce the results and cannot produce result whilst working individually. The army is too strong, it has economical interests aside from political. They are high on plots, factories and revenue they get from their companies while influencing the country's economic policies, completely on a feudal power trip. There is no way on earth they'd leave all this wealth just for the sake of democracy. Everyday a new set of acres of land gets transferred to them. It's too idealistic to say one day a General or Chief of the Fauji Foundation will wake up and decide to sacrifice all of its institution's stake to save Pakistani democracy.

@@ArmageddonIsHere Young energetic country choose the wrong path and relied too much on faith & military and only one thing taught by rulers to masses fight infidels ( read - india here) with power of islam and has lost bangldesh including siachin has become sick and tired due - more than surplus dose of islam, confrontation with neighbours, too much dependence on other. Where as old, tired country was injected fresh blood by modernity by successive reformer before independence and post independence and still it has not deviated from the path of modernity and reforming itself to make sure it never fails in future. Where as i see too much misplaced priorities in my immediate neighbour house. Instead of correcting wrong of history it has fallen in orthodoxies and self damaging itself. It's favourite topics have become islam, islamaphobia, ummah, musalman numalic, oic, rss hindutva which should be not it's concern ideally. It's primary concern should be welfare of its citizens instead of worrying about india and afghanistan and world. It has become theatre of experiments! Thanks!
