And THAT Ladies and Gentlemen is why conversations like these are important. People hardly are ever black and white. They are dynamic and shifting shades of grey and all the colors between. I didn't like Midsummer Chaos. I didn't like the acting and the concept. But there's more to people. Always. What TBT Podcast has been able to do most successfully, is humanize people who are on the other side of the fence from where you and I stand.

Personally, I loved the whole conversation with Mustafa. He is quite sensible yet sensitive and has a proactive mindset which eventually will help him grow in his life. Also, I gained insights as everyone has something to teach others. Keep doing what you believe in Mustafa, just don't let the good side go because of the toxicity you have seen and Good Luck :)

I appreciate Mustafa so much. People certainly do need to realise that we're all humans, and just because somebody is putting an effort to show up on public platforms does not mean you can bully them as much as you want. Mustafa, I cannot wait to see you grow, unfold and find yourself as who you want to be. Best of luck! + I hope you're taking care of your mental health, please do- that's more important than anything else! Wonderful podcast.

There's a reason why this show is called 'thoughts behind things'. Here, you listen to the guest's perspective and then reconstruct a new image on your mind about that person. I was genuinely happy before when I found like minded people in the comment section throwing criticism whether positive or negative but now all I see is people don't even bother to listen to the guest's side of the story and straightaway make fun of him/her.

I feel like privilege is often justified on the podcast in light of not understanding what it really is. Not to bash on anyone or to call out someone on their success just because of their luck and circumstances. But, I feel like the demographic of this channel has not even reached the lower strata of our society. The people who watch the podcast are well versed in English, have the internet and a smartphone. Viewers of this channel must have all the previously stated points that is a very "Privileged" state to be in. We should really stop justifying our privileges by saying how hard our parents or we ourselves have worked hard. Because that is not the entire case. There is a huge factor of "Luck" among it all. We can just watch the video of Privilege on LOLZ studios channel to understand. :p Therefore, to conclude. Let us accept that we are very privileged, be good, and carry on.
@msid98703 жыл бұрын
Yes! Spot on!
@khatritalha3 жыл бұрын
This! I agree to you point a 100%. People in Pakistan are almost offended when someone points out that you're privileged. If you live in Pakistan, have any car (even if it is a 'dabbay wali margalla'), go to a decent school and do not have to worry about where your next meal is going to come from then you, my friend, are privileged.
@nehaamjad70663 жыл бұрын
@@khatritalha, then who do you think is calling out Mustafa for being privileged in the best possible negative connotation of being bratty & spoiled? Are those bahar phirtay mangne walay log, or the same 'complexed' people 'amongst us' who have been conditioned to look at someone 'more privileged' than them (as you've defined privilege to be) - as someone who has had majorly luck by him, all his life? We're only ever dealing with all those people who have ever known him, to then bash him - not our street hawkers or villagers who don't know what KFC is. It's the same premises - the people who use the term 'privilege' as an abuse & the people who're on the 'hated' end, these are the two sides. You'd just notice so many from the side opposite to him 'changing' their opinions about him in this very comment section now & WAY BEYOND if they ever decide to expand their ways of seeing, I hope, haye. Twitter ke tamashon mein 'privilege' ke tanay deine walay bhi 'well versed' aur apki definition ke mutabiq, privileged hi hain. Toh phir what's the problem? Is the problem privilege or our ways of 'identifying' people with what we just get to see about them on such a surfaced level? All those who have ever looked down upon him for being in a lot more comfort than their usual selves (yeah, 'their own selves', not our low strata walay, lol), are those very capable of watching this podcast, watching him evolve more with his journey of art & learning more about what makes an entire Mustafa - him. Where even did lower strata walay come from? Whenever the term privilege is a bash, it always is by the same people very privileged according to your definition. They're just habitual of comparing 'themselves' to those with more financial abundance & looking down upon them for not 'resonating' or 'relating' to 'them'. It's never about humaray woh log jo ke internet bhi use karnah nahi jantay. The problem is in the mindset, the inferiority complex & most of all - the quick to judge & label ways of those who bash. If we think that there's no such difference in our privileges for some of us like Mustafa to look at it as an attack at him, toh phir why do we also find a need for him to justify it, or why do we justify it ourselves in the garb of 'major luck'? That's unfair.

What an insightful episode. Listening to his experience was so inspiring and motivational in a sense that he is right that if in a school if a couple of people give you hate and bully you that effects a person and for him to seemingly come here and talk about the his experience with dealing with hate of thousands of people is great. People are quick to dislike something they don't want to understand. I hope the best for him and just want to say that we should all spread positive vibes. ✌️

I am an army (fan of BTS) and I am genuinely sorry for the harsh words you have heard from armies but of course my sorry cannot undo the pain you have suffered and for the armies who disrespected Mustafa just because he created a look are idiots idc if it offends you. BTS themselves went through bullying and they have told us to love yourself so I do not consider you an army and I am sure BTS wouldn't too so please understand that each and every hate comment hurts the person its referring too. I hope people become more understanding to the concept that if you don't like something doesn't mean others can't do. And again Mustafa Babar I personally love your content and would love if you try more BTS look.

17:15 Muzammil bhai I'm not taking any sides and I've watched the video too. You seem confused on why people called Mustafa Babar out on the video. So, I just want to clarify it to you and to him as well. The reason why people got so angry was because they accused him of committing "Cultural Appropriation". Yes, that is a thing, this is something that happens whenever someone tries to adopt or copy the style, customs or beliefs of people of a different race. This idea has it's flaws too and also there's a thin line between inclusion of all races and cultural appropriation. Anyway, just wanted to tell you this. My job here is done. *Flies away*
@symphonyyy74493 жыл бұрын
The situation wasn't exactly about cultural appropriation. He 'asked' if he looked like BTS in the video and the comments generally said 'no' or 'please don't' or something similar to that. He and his friends got heated up when his Tiktok got reported for bullying and harassment which, as everyone knows, could be reported by anyone not just ARMY and also that tiktok is a platform full of weird people of all ages. His friends said things like BTS would want to look like Mustafa because he has 'big eyes' implying that they have small eyes which is a common racial insult used here for Koreans, Japanese and Chinese. That is what she was called racist for, not for defending anyone but for her disrespectful words and attitude. Also, another friend of his he mentioned said wo apke abu hain etc. Many others said similar things which is why fans were infuriated and called them out. Mustafa shared all of these 'supportive' videos and stories on his Instagram. He then picked up tweets (most were from locals who already disliked him and/or BTS and got an opportunity to hate on him) and made a KZbin video generalizing the entire fandom for toxicity despite many ARMYs apologizing to him. This was what happened :)
@riizemixx3 жыл бұрын

In Pakistan KPOP is generally suggested to BTS which is wrong there are MANY OTHER GROUP'S FANDOM present in Pakistan and our own native people who DO NOT LIKE BTS/ARMY n are always finding a way to embarrass them n that's what they did when he posted a video. Native People and fans from other fandoms came n bashed him we armies REPRESENT BTS we would never do such a thing already BTS GET ALOT OF HATE here why would we embarrass ourselves by doing such thing.also ARMY IS NOT ALWAYS related to KPOP. ARMY IS A FANDOM NAME of BTS.

Baber posted that video and some tik tok army bullied him which was wrong and we genuin bts fans were with baber but the worst thing that baber did was posting videos of his homophobic and racist friends on instragam stories who was bashing bts for wearing makeup and stuff.he shouldn't have done that.
@symphonyyy74493 жыл бұрын
Just see the look Muzammil gave when he said his friends were 'cancelled' and called racist without any reason and how easily he manipulated the whole thing. He'll play all innocent now since the fans have no way to put forward their side of the story. Everyone knows Tiktok is full of people who do weird things but no, he decided to pick up tweets of locals (who just hated him anyway and just found a reason to bash on him), called them BTS fans without any evidence and made an entire yt video about it

he wasn't trending on twitter for nothing during bts controversy, he actually committed "cultural appropriation" which ofcourse was offensive to to certain people. he could've handled the situation in way more better aspects. instead of accepting that, he romanticizes the idea of why he was accused for allegations for no reason. i get his statement, he was just trying to be pull of their looks, but he needs to acknowledge the fact that he actually did crossed the boundary of "trying a look" leading him to cultural appropriation.
