🌳🔥Hey Daniel, hope you and your family are doing well! still binging on ALL of your videos 😜 It's actually more like feasting than binging😂🥩😂 lol! I just wanted to say I'm glad you enjoyed the hammock this time. To REALLY *ENJOY* any camping experience, *comfort* is key!!! An English WoodsMan once told me that 😆😂🤣 lol!!! It's gonna be another 6-8 weeks before I get back out there. I've moved so many times in this past year or so, now I'm waiting on a proper flat. A permanent*home* hopefully 🤞 But I'm most definitely gonna #BE THAT PERSON. (thanks to you) 👍👍👍 THANKYOU 💯 P.s, I've never hot_tent camped before, but I've watched and learnt things from how you do it, but do I start straight off with an immediate hot_tent? Or build up to a hot_tent once my confidence grows???

Dan, I’m a long term subscriber and yea I have seen the difference in your later videos compared to your old ones but, thats just how it is, don’t ever apologise for it, it’s the evolution of your channel, you are more confident in front of camera, the quality is better, the content is better. Just keep doing what you’re doing, we’ll all still be here watching, and, don’t listen to those who want to put you down, for whatever reason, you still have a core of followers who will keep bigging you up and watch everything you do, you make us laugh, make us think and most of all, you entertain us. Just keep it up buddy and we’ll keep watching.

Your hammock has a Ridgeline (the line that goes from one end of the hammock to the other end). That means that no matter how tight you have your straps, the hammock will hang the same way no matter what. The only thing that can change is how high up your foot-end of the hammock is compared to your head-end. Most people like to have the foot-end a little bit higher than the head. That is the beauty of the Ridgeline, because it stays the same no matter how tight you have it, or how far apart the trees are.
@volleytheory Жыл бұрын
Agreed. What Dan should mark is the ridge line. I believe those onewind hammocks have adjustable ridge lines, so if he’s happy with that lay, keep that ridge line the same length.🤘

@stephenlambert9826 Жыл бұрын
I don’t think that’s how a ridge line works,it doesn’t ensure a comfortable hang no matter the position of your straps it acts as an indicator of the tension in your hammock and let’s you know you need to move/adjust your straps

Try 83% of the hammock length as the starting point for your adjustable ridge line length, this works great for most folk to find lovely flat lay across the hammock. A survival foil emergency-type blanket or a piece of Mylar cut to size and placed foil facing upward, towards the underquilt but sandwiched between the underquilt and the underquilt protector will throw any lost heat back towards your body, and act as an effective windproof insulating layer too. 👍🏻

Just a wee thought Dan, an idea for another Channel would be you going out, whenever, with one of your subscribers, I know time would maybe be tight, but it would be a great way of introducing 'novice' campers to get out with someone that they now probably feel quite comfortable with. Rather than give away gifts/prizes, it would be great to see something like that. If that's your new Channel idea, I swear I'd no idea. Keep up the good work. Love the video's. I'm in Central Scotland, like 10 miles from Loch Lomond. So camping here is all around us. I'd not live anywhere else.
