As an insight for you guys , Pakistan imports hell of a lot of our steel. Pakistan’s economy has been in crisis for months, predating catastrophic floods. Inflation is backbreaking, the rupee’s value has fallen sharply, and its foreign reserves have now dropped to the precariously low level of £3.5 billion, enough to cover only one month’s worth of imports, raising the possibility of default. An economic crisis comes around every few years in Pakistan, borne out of an economy that doesn’t produce enough and spends too much, and is thus reliant on external debt. Every successive crisis is worse as the debt bill gets larger and payments become due. This year, internal political instability and the flooding catastrophe have worsened it. To make it worse , it is also an election year for them , and no one is willing to commit to negative imports.

Harry what are the minimum amounts of each metal, that you will buy from a tattter? I collected a boot load of various metals, went to a scrap yard, and he said that it did not weigh enough. I left the metal there, rather than pack the car, and take it all home. It dented my confidence. Surely metal is metal?

12:00 Am I right in thinking you have a separate skip setup for normal waste Harry? Why can’t these guys simply put that paper in those skips that way you don’t get hammered for a contaminated pile? Must drive you and your brother up the wall these guys. Not only there’s the increased likelihood of a fire having yet more material to feed it.
