Greekside Bible Church. When Jesus said, "My God why have you forsaken Me". He wasn't quoting Ps 22. Ps 22was a prophecy about Jesus, and those around the cross, didn't know what He was saying, They thought He was calling for Elijah. Anyone who knows the Bible, will understand what Forsaken Meant. It means Jesus died Spiritually. Eph 2: 1--5 says they were made alive who were dead in sins. They weren't physically dead, They were spiritually dead, Then v 12 tells us what spiritual death is, "Without God". Jesus was without God when He said My God why have you forsaken Me. Both the Hebrew for "Forsaken", in Ps 22;1. and the Greek for it in Mt 27: 47. Mk 15: 34, Means, "To Forsake, To Leave, To Abandon", which is Spiritual death. But thank God, Jesus was born again in Hell, "Hades" Acts 2: 27--31. 1 Pet 3: 18.

@@cbcwilsonville Your Pastor doesn't know what Jesus meant when He sais, "My God why have you forsaken Me". So don't tell me that he talks about the Spiritual suffering of Jesus
