Can’t agree more, in-fact even as an Indian born and raised here it took me years to realise this. So I was raised as an army brat until in my late twenties and I always lived in cantt & cantonment areas so when I had to move out to a civilian life and that too in Delhi, it was chaotic to say the least. Delhi felt crowded, loud & blingy and scary at times but after being here for a decade or more now, I have come to realise that while from an outside perspective it might look like madness but on the inside, there is a method to this madness. Most people are readily accessible, I have seen the kinder I behave, the better people around me are.

That was normalcy. Ofcourse does not excuse the looting. Sins of the parent are not the fault of the child. It has been enough time since independence. We Indians in general, and the people of Kerala state in particular had a good habit of extensive general reading and we are familiar with all the prominent Russian writers and their books. In the early 1960s there was a special drive in our state under the stewardship of Mr. P.N. Panickar, the then head of Kerala State Library Council, to set up libraries in each and every village under the local bodies . During that time, a lot of Russian journals & literary books of famous authors were easily available.

I would go as far as to say he's a world citizen; he could set up home anywhere if he had to because he's perceptive and willing to live with what that society offers instead of yearning to change things around him to be in synch with the way of life he's been brought up in. We need more of his kind in the world. Welcome to India which, despite some rough edges, is an amazing country. Love this series

After the end of the cold war it was promised to Russia that NATO will not extend their reach to Russia's neighborhood but Ukraine broke that trust and decided to join NATO which is not safe for Russia. Obviously Russia will feel vulnerable by this step.
