I completely agree. They always say to only invest your money in your home country, because the laws involving foreigners can change so quickly with each election overseas. My buddy has lived in Thailand for 25 years and I thought he said he has seen 7 military coups in Thailand over that time. Things always changing.

I met my Thai wife online in 2006 and we retired in Thailand in 2012. We bought a lovely house near Bangkok, which we recently sold. We built a resort-style house just north of Chiang Rai. I never regret my decision to move to Thailand.

That's amazing that government workers get to retire at age 50. My classmates older brother retired at the age of 38 from the air force 4 years ago. He saved up and paid cash for his condo in Denver, before he retired and loves his retired life in Denver!

Another great vlog! Thank you Gift and Joe. I am always fascinated by the early age that people can retire in USA on a decent pension! In UK, I believe that police can retire on a reasonable pension after 30 years of service. I loved the way in which you thanked Scot for his service. I worked as a Probation and Parole Officer for 36 years and can honestly say that no-one ever thanked me for those years of dealing with those dangerous and disturbed people that society would rather forget. I guess it is just not the British way to thank anybody for doing their job. It is the same with ex-servicemen who get forgotten after they leave the armed forces, and end up homeless on the streets. I agree with Scot, you are a real gentleman Joe. Lovely to see Gift's family enjoying themselves with you. God bless you all 🙏🙏😀😀

Hi, Joe & Gift, I enjoyed your video and the brief chat you had with Scott, Scott has the ideal business that shuts down for winter giving him time to spend in Thailand. I wish him every luck with his future plans. So people are starting to move into the street now. Kara will arrive in the next few days and she will hit the ground running doing what she likes spending money on setting up her new home. Your neighbours will all be able to speak English which will be good for Kara as well. PPK is on my must-see list. I might even live there because it has everything on my list covered. The Philippines has just opened up, you don't have to be vaxed to enter. Just have a test 24 hours before departure or have it done on arrival. Thailand now has competition for tourists. If you are found to have a positive convid test then they will quarantine you I think five days. That's the worst-case scenario. The main thing is like Scott now there is an opportunity to travel non-vaxed which many of us have been waiting for. I have lost %70 of my investments due to the economy globally I expect this to improve over the coming months but right now I don't feel I have enough money to do this sensibly. I don't want to be in a position where finance is an issue but right now it is. Take care GOD Bless you and yours. M

What the lady with the swollen leg was suffering with was "Heat Oedema" I often get it when in Thailand. Resting her legs the best thing, and elevating on the chair in front of her is even better.

Hats of to the guy for being law enforcement and still not get the vaccine. My grandmother got Covid, did not get the vaccine. Shook it in less than 48 hours. Said it felt more simple than the common cold. Just celebrated her 90th birthday last week and just stop driving in January. I'm surprised Scot's not vaccinated for covid. I've had 4 friends pass away from covid and another friend with long covid who wishes she had gotten the covid vaccine and boosters. I get the covid boosters the first day that they're available.

I have had 3 vaccines. Always been super fit and healthy. Since vaccine, I have lost the strength in my left arm, vomiting issues for 18 months and headaches that feel like my skull is being crushed.
