What do you think of Seventh day Adventists?
@willvcai4 жыл бұрын
Hi Onyx, I have never been to a SDA church. The only exposure that I had was learning from Pastor Doug Bachelor on his online ministry, such as AmazingFacts and his own teachings in his congregation. In my opinion, SDA teachings are good in many ways with lots of truth, but they stop from looking further into the deeper richness of God's word especially other Torah laws, such as 7 festivals God appoints for us to keep. That is one problem that I have with SDA, and that is why I moved on from there when I realize they stop where they are at. However, I do appreciate their effort to reveal the truth of Sabbath day to the world. What is your view on SDA? Thanks.

@@willvcai but wasn’t the ceremonial laws done away with. I understand that they use to do those things and the Jews still do it now, but wasn’t the whole point was to get away from the ceremonial and sacrificial laws. Well that’s just what I’ve learnt, because Christ became our sacrifice. But the 10 commandments still abide it just doesn’t save us for doing good works, instead it lets God know that we love him. If he love me keep my commandments. I’m not an Adventist btw but I’m trying to learn as much as I can about God.

@@enochmalupo1916 This is the way I thought about this question before. If the whole point is to get away from the ceremonial laws, then why did God with ultimate wisdom would have given it to His people in the first place? We need to see if that is wise for God to do that first. If we interpret God giving the law to us as a way to burden us, that can mean two things: Either. God just took Israelites out of one burden to another through Exodus.... or we feel His law as burdensome just like little children about their parents rules in our life. To me, I don't believe that God is not wise enough to see how bad His Law is if true. I would more incline towards seeing His word including His Law as complete and with good purpose, and seeing myself being rebellious to His Law just like a little child. Could that be possible that we have looked at God's Law as children? There are so much about God that I can share with you. If you were interested, we can stay on the topic through email. Here is my email: wzlwill@gmail.com Hope to talk to you again brother ! : )

My brothers in Christ May Jesus be with you. We do not have to keep the law. We are not under the law anymore. Those things were done away with when Christ died. “Therefore let no one judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a new moon celebration or a Sabbath day.” Colossians 2:16 The law was given by Moses but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ John 1:17 Please listen to Paul’s words my brethren we don’t need to eat kosher and keep the sabbath. Those were only a shadow of Christ. I love you guys very much peace to you and love from God our Father and The Lord Jesus Christ.

The law God's chosen are not under is the law of sin and death (the penalty of sinning can be overcome by repenting). If the Holy Instructions Of God are done away with then that would mean: I can sleep with another person's wife, lie, steal, murder, covet, worship other gods, etc. Read Pslam 119. David is praising God for His Holy Commandments. His Words are perfect, just and bring life to those who seek to live righteous.

You should read the Chinese King James Version (CKJV) it is made by Bible Believers of Washington and is available on Amazon

I have given up on Chinese translations of Bible years ago. The reason was that I realize that just in all the translations, Chinese Bibles have many mistranslations. It is not the fault of the translators, because the translators did their best. However, when you translate another country's history and articles, you are able to translate the culture and idioms into your own language. That is just the nature of the translations. I appreciate the hard works of the translators all over the world, but I can not trust their opinions over the scriptures 100%. That is the reason why I am learning Bibilical Hebrew now to better understand the original meaning of the Bible in its own cultural context.

I know my people's was born and raised in New York, he speaks fluent hebrew. Actually hebrew was his 1st language. His father made all his children ONLY speak hebrew growing up. Especially when speaking to him. So they never said anything in English to him.

I just came from watching your testimony. I was wondering do you believe that you are going to heaven?

Child in Christ, what is the point of your question? Very strange to pose that as a question. He is a believer, which is very obvious. What is your aim? To draw someone into an argument or to reason together???

If you want to know the true scriptures, look no further than The King James Version of the scriptures (The Authorized Verison)! The danger of languages is that it is prone to change!
