These videos are just the best, you approach the "fails" with such respect and explain what happened in way that everyone can understand. Would you perhaps consider making a video on how you determine which undertones will look best on a person? I want to go red sometime in the future, but I don't know whether i would be better suited by orange-copper colors, true reds or more violet shades. I live in a small European country where I have not yet found a hairstylist in my town that knew what they were doing. Maybe they exist, but they are way above my budget. I'd like determine what suits me so I know exactly what I want when I get to the hairdresser's. Love your channel!

+erciika hi!! Thank you so much! Rule of thumb is that you want to harmonize with the skin and compliment the eyes. Meaning, you want to match your skins undertone and contrast your eye color. If you have a lot of rosey/pinky-ness to your skin, then warmer coppers and true reds will be best. If you have cooler yellow skin, then cooler reds and red violets will be best! (Of course there are some exceptions, this is just a general guide!)

I suggest talking with a trusted local stylist and getting their opinion! ❤️❤️❤️ how cold is it over there right now?! Still in the 70s and 80s here! (Fahrenheit)

I realized how stupid my question was and as just about to delete it but you replied so quickly. This year has sucked weather wise- it feels like last winter was followed by 2 weeks of spring, 2 weeks of summer and then the fall hit again in August. I haven't worn ANY summer clothing this year- thank God I only wear classic pieces which hopefully will be in style next summer... Right now the temperature is 37 (Fahrenheit) and that is NOT cozy. I'm also having a Bad Hair Year and look like an idiot if I wear anything on my head, so Thank God for Hooded Coats. I have no idea why I wrote that using uppercase letters. Maybe all the hair colour has penetrated my skull and has now entered my brain... All the best to you sweetie

I moved to a small town where unfortunately the hairstylist out here are outdated and they don't listen to their clients . out of 5 salons only one hair stylist knew how to razor cut.😒 so I had to learn myself from color to bleaching and cutting

Only correction is, "Demi" permanent uses a level 5/10 peroxide and that will indeed permanently lift. A Semi permanent however is just a direct dye which does not use any peroxide and coats the hair without lift.

Yep 5 and 10 will still definitely lift! But only if there is adequate amounts nh3 or monoethanolamine in the demi. Otherwise, the h202 will not have access to the melanin to use its power. I go into detail with this in my “why you can’t be blonde” video!

May I ask what type of job some one with an applied science degree in cosmetology holds ? I've never heard of that before , it sounds very fascinating to me . Do you work in a lab making dyes ?

+Pisces Rain it was more for my own personal development and understanding! I also like to be a credible source of education! You can still be a stylist with out the degree, and you need a higher degree to be in labs; so it's sort of a "limbo". A stepping stone into cosmetic chemistry if I ever wanted to pursue it further!

Lol. I have very straight, round-shaped hairs framing my face, but very Southern European type flat, courser hairs (each hair is flat like a ribbon) on the crack of my head. Two completely different textures. Is that normal? I ask because it seems a lot of stylists don't know how to deal with it.

Yes, that is normal. Children of people with different hair textures can have two or more different textures, curl patterns, etc on different areas of the head.

I went to a salón to get a blow out and there was a new girl and she had to wash my hair i had long to my waist curly really curly dry textured hair she made such a big knot on my hair that we spend abput 3 hours triying to undo that mess i was o tears of pain i had to cut muy hair in a LOB and just to make it a lil bit worse i hada a Christmas party that same day!!! And the hairdresser un charge was son mean to me about it he said that it was my fault for having "bad hair"
