He defo isnt. Hikaru is not at all stockfish. He plays/gets into positions that are attacking, and hence very double edged, and he often makes tons of mistakes, but his opponents make even more. For example, mvl had mate twice against hikaru in one of the blitz games, and it was so simple, he literally just had to make the easiest check on the board. But he didnt, and it ended up being a draw.

Always wish I could play like this, I take my games very seriously but I'm 900 so my opponents don't always pay attention. I spent 3 minutes on a move the other day and even apologized to my opponent "I saw that move but I completely underestimated it at the time" and in 5 seconds after I make my move he blunders his queen and resigns. Up so much time and in a winning position just to blitz out an obvious blunder. It was a very disappointing end to a tense game and ill remember it for a long time.
