No, according to Shakta, Maa Lalita Tripursundari is supreme. I rever Maa Durga, but Maa Kali, Maa Tara and Maa Kamakhya are direct manifestations of Maa Lalita. Maa Durga has the Gunas of Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati inside Her.

But in devi bhagwad, it is clearly mentioned about mahadevi durga (synonyms bhagvati, bhavani, jagdamba, ambika) And btw i know you watched the recent podcast rajarshi nandy. Even Durga chalisa says about the mahavidyas as forms of Durga.

What I mentioned, Gunas of Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati, what does it mean, Durga has these qualities inside Her. Durga Chalisa is dedicated to Maa, so there She is supreme. Through Durga upasana you can even approach Maa Kamakhya. They all are One, just shows Their different Gunas through different forms.

From Shōdashī--->Dakshinā--->tripura sundari--->& further. Path of Tripurasundari becoming lalita is dakshina. Dakshina is the path starts with panchadashi(tripurasundari) and reaches shodashi(Lalita).

In Assam and Bengal everyone says 'Kaali Maa'. It might not be correct in Hindi but doesn't mean its completely wrong or in any way unacceptable
