I report the sh*t out of stolen designs. Even those “copycats” that do a slightly different version. Unoriginal copycat “designers” are the scum of POD.

After watching your video I started looking up my designs. I have 15,000 products on merch and almost ever design is being copied pixel for pixel on multiple websites. It took me hours just to write a few companies about copyright infringement of my designs. Can you give me advice about how I can speed up the process of getting these copyrighted designs down. I feel overwhelmed and upset that all my hard work is being copied.

I posted a design and it got stolen within 24 hours. Didn't even get sales yet, and now I'm seeing copycats. Fucking. INFURIATED!

Well, i say fight fire with fire right? So they use bots to replicate and report you and all, so someone should make a bot as a service (weather they make it for free or not) and make it look for your designs online and when it finds one it reports it right away. It wouldn't be 100% effective but i assume it'll probably be 90% effective. Sometimes they will report u faster, sure, but you'll win mostly. I assume they will try to combat reporting u even faster and the same will happen at the defensive service.. will be ongoing war that at least will improve your side somewhat. If someone breaks into your house he only get rewarded for it then it will only increase rather than stopping. Must make it harder and less profitable for them. Now all it takes is a programmer to understand the monetary potential in making such software. Money on the floor.

Thanks for going over this. It is very frustrating and I lost a lot of time being angry and chasing art thieves. 😕 I actually had a real person write me back once and just laugh at me threatening to sue him for infringement. He said he didn't care and he was hosted in a DMCA Ignored Country and I couldn't touch him. So I followed some steps in the comment link below to get his page delisted and banned from Paypal cuz he pissed me off. I don't waste my time doing this anymore. I just go forward.

Bots are stealing designs pixel-for-pixel, it should not be confused with KZbinrs recommending evaluating what makes a good designs based on existing best-sellers. Customers vote with their dollars, we'd be fools not to pay attention to their preferences 👍

Well, something that people still don't get, especially artists, is that the moment something hits the internet is GOING to be stolen. Everything. And you can't stop it. Same with piracy. But you can use it to your advantage instead. Piracy has been proven to increase the sales of original products. So see those thieves as promotioners. People will go to you as you have a certain style.

Can you put a disclaimer on your sales page that says any copyright infringement incurs a $1000 penalty for each sale? Then sue them?

This just happened to us, pixel for pixel. We had our logos on the designs too! Amazon still hasn't taken down the copycats. How long does it take to hear back from Amazon?

My designs were stolen twice and Amazon took them down in less than 24hs. Maybe you did something wrong when reporting it. Sometimes they would send you an email asking for further information before taking down the designs. I followed a tutorial from Lisa Irby.

Amazon was no help at all to me. Not to mention all five Amazpn Sellers that copied my entire listing didn't fulfill their orders right, or at all, and got horrible reviews. It killed my listing and the $500 per week I'd been earning on it.

You are SO right! One of pieces I've had stolen, the person selling it on Ebay even included in the description basically "if you report me I'll come after you." They're not in the US.
