Proud of this scientist even i had and still have a passion to become a cancer scientist.. Unfortunately i was rejected in med school entrance exam and i took up engineering now my dream and my passion can never be true i feel... Proud of you doctor.

Like many other jobs there are some risks related to working in laboratories, but we are not aware of any specific risks for developing cancer. You may be interested in learning more about laboratory standards and safety precautions required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). OSHA is a part of the United States Department of Labor and is responsible to ensure safe and healthful working conditions for by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education, and assistance. It may help to know that cancer is not contagious and researchers are not at higher risk to develop cancer due to working with cancer cells or cancer patients.
