To me the Ipad is the absolute best choice, I'm a professional violinist and having the ability to put the iPad on a music stand and be able to read any sheet music you could think of, while being able to change pages with a foot pedal is already enough. But I also plug in my Scarlett interface and record with cubasis (if logic is coming this is just too good), do all of my editing with Luma fusion (all I do is music stuff so no need for more fancy video editing software) I also use the procreate app a ton for flyers or thumbnails, watch a ton of KZbin on it, and play competitively codm lol, it's perfect for me.

The 11" iPad Pro is not as small as some people think it is... The size difference doesn't really matter that much because you can zoom in a lot while drawing on ProCreate anyway. It's all a matter of how you look at it... If you put an A4 size sheet of paper next to an A3 sized one, most people would choose the A3 one to draw. The 12.9" iPad Pro is as big as an A4 sheet of paper, so... 😉

I’m just happy that last year is when apple really gave the iPad a new life. The iPad now feels like a category if it’s own. We just need the ipad OS to be optimized for 8gb of ram and we can finally run Mac type apps. In very excited for WWDC.
@MelkonEsso3 жыл бұрын
Exactly. I’m really wondering how Apple will handle the massive jump in ram - will they just straight up release software that only works for the new iPad Pros - or will they do it down the line, when the last 2-3 years of iPad Pro releases have at least 8GBs of ram? So many questions for this WWDC

Melkon Esso I think it will be app specific, I still run out of layers in Procreate on a 4gb iPad Pro. Bought the 16gb model, reached the layer limit again. Seems like Apple won't let developers use more than 5gb :( they have to fix that. Also raster based animation apps like Callipeg and Roughanimator will take great advantage of the RAM. Just finished a commercial that needed 10 seconds of animation, once I added tweening to 4 layers, the iPad struggled. It's a RAM related bottleneck :(

@MelkonEsso3 жыл бұрын
Money is a huge reason, but also because the 12.9 inch is huge if you want to use it as an actual handheld tablet computer.
@SyedShoaib3 жыл бұрын
I made that choice in 2019 when I got the 11” iPad Pro. The lesson I learnt was - go for the 12.9” version if you are going to use it for the larger part of your computing time, I.e. if it will be your computing mainstay. Also 12.9” if you want to do substantial handwriting or sketching. Now I have both the 12.9” and 11” version. The latter is what I carry around everywhere. But if I had to make a choice, I will prioritise the 12.9” over 11” anyway, everyday. It’s not that heavy. And the additional real estate makes a ton of difference in the workflow.
@captainbottles3 жыл бұрын

@IDrawToothpicks3 жыл бұрын
@@captainbottles I’d bring either 11 or 12.9 anywhere. And I don’t bring it too many places. Don’t worry what others think. I’m pretty sure a lot of people have iPads. If they see more people bringing iPads out and not being worried about the size etc. more people won’t notice your tablet. Both are still light 11 more so but the 12 doesn’t bother me I’m using it now. I’ll let you know if I stuck with it in 2 weeks :) so far it looks nice. Also the person commenting above is right it’s great for workflow for artists especially. If you aren’t an artist. Either one is great. The apple rep at the store recommended 11 as a popular one surprisingly even though it’s cheaper! I think it’s because I was getting a pencil in addition to it. What spec did you get? 256GB? Cellular or WiFi only? Thanks

Godt arbejde, mega fed video!! Hvordan synes du det der screen share med din computer fungerer på en 11" skærm? Og hvor meget koster det for at kunne "caste" mellem windows og ipad?
@MelkonEsso3 жыл бұрын
Jeg bruger det ikke rigtigt. Det er fedt man kan, men det er en ret lille skærm at bruge til dét. Lige her tror jeg 12.9" vil være bedre.

Welp Final Cut Pro didn't happen😬 It sucks and I understand why people are frustrated. For me that doesn't matter to much since I'm new to editing. So I still bought mine even after I heard about iPad OS15. Its just sad that they think of it as a secondary display instead of a laptop replacement.

lol I had the first iPad as well! Thing blew my mind! I haven't owned an iPad since the iPad 2 from 10 years back! So I decided it's about time to jump in. I was going to go with an Air, but 64gb just isn't enough for me. I ended up getting a 256gb 11" M1 as it was on sale for $799 and I'm loving it! also 01:06 lol...I still have zero reason to own an iPad. My M1 MacBook Pro and iPhone SE do everything I could ever want and more. I just love tech and it's like...I only live once right? So let's enjoy the hell out of it!

It's just a great device that brings me a lot of joy. It's up to you if it's worth it.

Awesome video... Does your iPad last for 10h ?
@MelkonEsso3 жыл бұрын
It does if I use it just for normal office work and browsing. It seems to use a lot of power on video calls for some reason

I’ve owned 2 iPads. The first gen and the M1. When the first one was announced all I heard was, “what a joke, it’s just a big iPhone”….well when I really thought about it. I loved my iPhone….so a big one sounded great. Turns out I was right. I got tired of iOS….so I moved on. 10 years later and the M1 was announced and it was the first time I really got excited for an Apple product again. So I got it. And I couldn’t be happier!

I bought the same model as yours but trade in my previous 2020 iPad Pro 11. This year model is crispy fast and even faster than 2020 iPad Pro.
@MelkonEsso3 жыл бұрын
Well, the 2020 iPad Pro is still really fast. Hope you like your M1 though!

Hi, do you think for Note-taking, the 11 inch is sufficient coz i am really confused between the 12.9 vs 11 as i think 12.9 will be too big if we are talking about Tablets

Great video! Do you have any scratches on your iPad where your Apple pencil attaches?

It was Chunkeh 😂😭 the 11 inch is definitely the perfect size for me. Not too big abs not too small with top notch Power!
