I have a suggestion for your camera position! You should set it up right next to your head, on the glass roof, but set it in a way that we can see your face on the rear view mirror. This way instead of turning your head to the left to look at the camera, you can make eye contact with us through the rear view mirror with a simple movement of the eye and not the head. Great car choice, congratulations! love your videos, keep it up mate!

I was a bit hesitant when you announced that this was the new car replacing the Lamborghini. But, I'll admit, this car is growing on me super fast and I'm not even the one driving it. The interior looks superb, especially for road trips. Not many cars in this class come with all the amenities the AMG has to offer. Can't wait to see more of this car on the road trip!

It was the best decision for sure. Even though you spend extra money for a GTS instead of going for the GT...Anyways...Like I said before this car has massive potential and it will easily destroy any stock Lamborghini Huracan or McLaren 570S after you upgraded the CPU. 650HP is no problem for this car and far as I know certain companies test it at 750hp right now. I would suggest you go with the AMG aero pack wich includes the firm rear spoiler and other parts. Add some carbon fibre to it and put a nice exhaust on it (I drove a Capristo GT-S and its INSANE!) and your good to go.

PLEASE do not put a crazy bodykit and gigantic spoiler on this thing. I think it is almost as beautiful as it can get right now. Maybe a sort of modest exhaust and spoiler. (like seen through glass)

Excellent choice! Is that Cardinal Red? If it is, you have the exact color, wheel and interior specs I selected. However, I bought a 2014 Audi V10 Plus with Ceramic brakes and upgraded exhaust instead. I hope you order with an upgraded sound system. Also, you should talk about the infotainment system which I am sure it is one of the selling point as well. Anyways, congrats! You just bought America driver's car of the year!

Great AMG car from the outside and inside. Looks awesome with the sun roof! Consider to mount the other "mini" camera behind the front seats looking forward out the front window (just like In the Chris Harris video) Then we are able to enjoy the cool dashboard and the view of the road ahead. Have you considered mounting a camera inside the car with a suction pad on the sunroof facing forward giving a nice look to the outside when you're driving? would give a sick look over the hood of the car and the surroundings. Basicly like the camera in this clip but rotated 90 degrees.

I have a feeling that these cars are really on a sort of 'lease' as promotional gain for the car sales. Hence the immediate wraps (to keep in 'garage condition) so that after a short period of time (so not to depreciate to much) they can be returned to stock and sold without much loss.

Your reasoning in this decision was spot on, and car is amazing! Not just from the exterior, but look at that interior, wow, it's phenomenal! And it is very important how car looks inside cause that is what you look the most, and this is by far the best interior of the candidates. I love McLarens but their interiors are just empty and boring. Only Audi comes close to this, and 458 is also OK, others not even close.

Arguably it's overkill but this way everybody who says that you picked the slow choice out of all the cars (Mclaren 570/650, Lamborghini Huracan, Ferrari 458 (488 GTB maybe even.) aside from the obvious reasons like mid-engine layout etc. Your way back should be fun. Here's a list of places where on a lucky day you can hit 300 km/h (yeah yt clickbait alert.). -A31 Essen to Emden. Candle law, as flat as a dime and equipped with porous asphalt. Unfortunately, two-lane, sometimes crowding. Get up early so. Parallel to the A31, but less relaxed, the A1 from Osnabruck to Oldenburg runs. -A24 / A19 from Berlin to Rostock. Great, with the exception of a pair of speed limits between. -A5 From Karlsruhe to Basel. Almost no curves, but quite a lot of traffic. Ideal for beginners and zondeagochtend. -A38 Of Gottingen to Leipzig. If the Nurburgring as Autobahn would be reborn, this would be it! -A3 from Frankfurt to Bonn. Busy during the day but at night tempting. The entire process is three-lane! -A62 From Landstuhl to Nonnweiler. MidShipCivic I visit events where I get to drive 1000HP gt-rs etc. I have experienced quite a lot of powerful cars and I have to tell you for 2WD cars, unless you're a racing driver it's hard to handle anything more than ~600 HP. Not bragging in any way as my daily is currently a VW polo bluemotion, in no way a fast car haha, it's very comfy and economical though.

+102ndcar Nice thing about the R8 is that it's a proper manual, which makes me feel like Paul's actually driving a car. As exciting as a Lamborghini is from the outside, when he's inside the cockpit doing commentary, it's not fully exploiting the excitement of the car. I agree the early SOL episodes were better, particularly because less is more, and Paul had less technical gimmicks to rely on and so we saw how truly talented a vlogger he was(is).

+UzzyFuzzyy I would say it is a supercar. The GTS is significantly faster than sls as seen on top gear when they compared lap times. It did a 1.17 faster than gtr. The only good thing about the sls was the gullwing doors and 6.2 litre v8.

I had one for 5 months. I agree it is beautiful but ultimately the beauty was not enough: same standard engine and performance as a GLC63 SUV, for example. So I traded in for a proper supercar: R8 V10 Plus. Also I never thought I'd say this because photos don't do it justice: but the R8 even looks better than the AMG GTS. The difference in excitement between driving an R8 and AMG GTS is massive.

The M6 GC looks a bit better than this, even though it has 2 more doors (not saying the GTS looks bad, it's one of the most beautiful cars MB has designed). You've got to admit though that the ///M badge on BMWs is more appealing than AMG badges whereas AMGs have got the upper hand in terms of exhaust notes. As far as audio is concerned, Bang & Olufsen forever! MBs used to have B&O speakers but now it's just Audi, BMW and Aston Martins .

+PimpSlap Depends on the parking lot. Where I live (western MA) my RS7 looks exotic. His GTS would turn heads everywhere he went. I am actually a fan of being a bit understated (hence the RS7) so I love his choice.

Brendan Barthi the back of the 991 series looks way better than the back of this AMG, the front however is debatable

Love the video! But WOULD have liked to see some different camera angles during such a long talk ;) Someone earlier suggested pressing a camera up on the sunroof, facing forward (from the inside out!) to see where you're driving... All in all good video anyway.
