The best answer to that is to take a test ride. We know of people who are 5 feet, who ride it. And of people who are 5'5" who find it difficult to ride. The best answer on that, is from a test ride

Himalayan is close to the Kawasaki KLR 650 in terms of dimensions. The engine block is also similar but KLR has a better displacement (652cc)due to its larger bore. RE can very easily upgrade the Himalayan to 500cc(+/- 10%) with same single cylinder engine. They dont have to reinvent the wheel, or fit the 650cc twin. They have enough in-house capability and experience with 500cc singles, to effect an upgraded engine. Imagine they will have 3 engines with a 150cc differential- 350cc- 500cc- 650 twin..

Agreed that it was a game changer when it was launched. But that was 2018....much water has flown under the proverbial bridge, and what? still no Alloys? Still no comfortable seat? Still no LEDs? and then RE takes a step back by giving us TUBE TYPE Ceat tyres. Now to change to Alloys one has to change the tyres too. The Brits may get turned on by seeing the familiar (to them) Interceptor with spoke wheels, not us, coz we never saw the original interceptor of the 60s here in India. Just give us a modern bike with the 650 Harris Performance engine. Spoke wheel lovers? Buy Himalyan!

Yes absolutely. Ashish runs the AOM handle and the Gt touring seat / Trip machine touring seat and he has done over 41,000 km and he can’t stop riding 😁 so yes it can be done and it works ✌🏻

I got the dominar 400 after i test rode the classic 350. It just had nothing. But the 650s...god they are great. So unlike RE. Just a little tweaks here and there and we have probably the best bikes of the decade. I am waiting for the roadster variant of this 650 engine.

I bought a tb 350x in 2019 after test riding both the bikes - 350x and Interceptor. I preferred the ridding stance and comfort in the TB. Eagerly waiting now for a new RE 650 to upgrade. 🤞🤞 Great video and love these conversations !!

Actually its not a rant, there are many people in the country who have bought the GT650 for the smashing looks and handling, later they realise that its not suitable to ride for longer distances. The only point/rant is the wrong nomenclature of the GT - Gran Turismo (Grand Touring)

@@happinessperkm The Mr Twins of RE needs to be explained that we (twin purchasers from launch to 2 yrs of ownership) - can give real life experience of living with the 2wins (irrespective of the kms covered). If u ask me, each and every rider is unique (height, weight, physical strength, what he expects of the bike) - each rider on his own to modify / accessorise his bike as per his requirement - if u ask me - after having done just 12K kms - I would love it RE listened to my requests - Alloy wheels (I have gone the after market way - RE earning opportunity lost) - I have rear view mirror extenders ( RE earning opportunity lost), I have a side stand foot print extender (RE earning opportunity lost) - I have aux lights (RE earning opportunity lost) - shall love to have gear shift indicator / give us the Himalayan dashboard - we are willing to pay the price - what say RE - not to forget a powerful headlight (I have installed a LED bulb) - wake up RE - we all want to install original accessories - willing to pay the price - please make them available

Since interceptor is a cafe racer, if I convert it to a cruiser will it impact on tyre life as more weight will come on rear. P.S. I am heavyweight I am sceptical as I heard stories of short life of tyres - which is the best tyre (hard rubber or soft rubber) on this bike as it was claimed during interview that it is a superbike.

Hey Shashank. Twins are 200 kg + motorcycles and are quite torquey so If u do ride aggressively the tyres will wear out. Depends on how you ride. In the community we have riders who replaced their tyres at 5000-10-15000 and in some rare cases 20,000. Purely depends on how you ride. Tyre options for the twins are a lottery. The r18 size is not a popular size so options are limited. The best tyres we have used are Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2, Timsun 697, Pirelli Phantom and the new oem tyres ceat also have good reports. The interview was shot unscripted and the mention of the superbike is purely the guests pov. For us every bike we love is a superbike.

Ok…so I have a ‘not so positive’ feedback for this video. I hope you will take in good spirits since i am an avid viewer of your channel. So here goes, both the guests were not well informed about the bike and could not answer basic questions about it. One of them was calling interceptor a cafe racer and the other promptly declared that rider triangle of interceptor and continental gt has no difference. One of the guests mentioned that it is only good for 50 km rides and the other “the owner” was politely agreeing with him even after doing a few thousands of kms on the bike. Besides both of them did not have any solid insights to offer. It was like both of them have just had a test ride of the bike and never really rode it. Anyways…i hope i have not offended you guys in any way…as I said…i love your content and wait for your videos with bated breath. This is the first time I was slightly disappointed.
