Belt and suspenders has been used to describe cautious bankers who demand loan policies be very strictly adhered to. More generally - as the use of both a belt and suspenders to hold up one's pants implies - it can mean having redundant safety procedures in place to eliminate all risk.

I think Cadillac makes some of the nicest interiors. I've always loved the symmetrical center stacks that flow unbroken into the shifter and center console. It's just more tasteful and elegant than a lot of newer cars, many of which are very plain and boring to me, even a lot of the luxury cars that have nice materials.

How does this car compare to power wagons from Audi, BMW, MB or Porsche?
@vdelrio9995 жыл бұрын
I do admire Cadillac trying to really compete with HP luxury brands but, IMO, they need to improve interior quality (too much plastic and leather) to justify their asking price. Styling could be a lot better too. Reminds me of a rubber door stop.
@RobertMoseley5 жыл бұрын
I used to think that this Caddy had a really nice interior, but then I drove my Rolls for a week, I got used to REAL leather, metal knobs, fine wood... when I got back in the Cadillac I immediately noticed the cheap plastic knobs and stuff, but then again, this is how every car is now a days....

@RobertMoseley5 жыл бұрын
I wear size 36 pants. But I am totally square, my ass, hips, sides are all the same size. Without the suspenders I can slide my pants right off without even undoing them. So I spent my life constantly pulling my pants up and having plumbers crack, the suspenders hold my pants up. The belt holds my cell phone, my multi-tool, knife, pistol, etc. It also looks cool because I like the color contrast. I have a lot of nice, designer belts. Fendi, Versace, etc. Most of my belts are $500 - $600 each. I need both, and they look cool, I have my own brand that instantly recognizable. That is hard to create in this world. So I'm going to stick with it.
