How awesome the Patriots are is a given, proven again and again. But you're also proving more and more how good the relationship in your family is. I enjoy seeing how good your inter-generational family dynamic is just as much as all the cool toys you have. The relationship you have with your dad is so well reflected in the quality of relationship you have with the twins and Mia. Love to see it!

I believe it’s a trade off from comfort/ a/c and freedom/flexibility. Nice chat with dad.

I am looking at this camper, and it checks all the boxes. I like camping remotely. I have 2 dogs, so roof tops are out. Plus, I'm middle-aged and want some comfort and not sleep on the ground. This will likely be my next camper. Thanks for this video

Your dad is right when he said we had the best world class manufacturing before a lot of it went abroad. That's because we had the best trade people with the best trade practices' act, looking towards continuos improvement as we forged forward. I like the fact that you promote Australian made where possible, networking I think is the best way forward.

Simplicity is the Word, im still doing primitive ground camping with my stuff in the boxes. I had an excursion at Sandveld in South Africa it was fun but Tiring , the finger tips when i got back home were sore, the whole body was also aching , but i loved it. Simplicity is the Answere.

Defo top of my list for my trailer shopping to haul behind my sprinter as my kiddos get bigger and we want to do further trips with more space. Just watched the video for GEN2 X3. Here is the US. It looks belter.

PATRIOT CAMPERS if you can hear me please make a smaller version of x1n for the rest of us that don't need something that big and cant afford it, believe me it will be a huge hit over here in u.s. , thank you!

The Gen2 X2 is simpler compared to the rest, from my point of view.

I recognise that this camper is a good one and it’s great to see the influences that have obviously flowed from Ultimate Campers that have had this side fold design since the mid 90’s except with an inside kitchen and a king size bed. Having said that for grey nomads like myself these sorts of campers can get places caravans can’t. Well done Patriot and Ultimate for inspiring the Patriot X3. 👍🏻

Love the kids and dad away holidays, I have the same type of memories with going away taking time off school it's those experiences that an education can't create, I feel now it's to easy sometimes for kids and Rob said it about the kids being forced with nature, it's a good interview and humbling at the same time. Not knowing but where did Patriot come from?

Great conversation. Great to hear your Dad's experience with the X3. I would love to see him and Belinda in a Tvan and get their feedback. X3 and Tvan are the only 2 Aussie made campers worthy for my first camper trailer. Its a tough choice.

Absolutely agree Joshua, we've had both and found they are very different so one may suit your needs more than another without being "better or worse"... kzbin.info/www/bejne/mX7RpoyYl9WCjKc

I love it. I love everything about it. We've been enjoying our X3 for 3 wonderful years. As much as I look around and talk to others nothing comes cose to the flexibility and convenience of this swiss army knife of a camper trailer. Just so impressed!!! BUT it's not true a caravan couldn't accomplish the same thing. Depends totally on the caravan just like it depends totally on the camper trailer. Several are just as capable as the X3. We are currently looking to sell our X3 and move into an offroad caravan due to one major issue and 2 minor issues. 1st minor issue is the door. If I never have to zip/unzip that door again it'll be too soon. I am shocked how many times we are in and out of the trailer especially at night and if not zipped the bugs will have a hayday. It's just gotten annoying. 2nd minor issue. lack of personal storage. The wife has several bags of stuff...huess you'd have to be a woman to understand but she's always rifling through various bags of stuff for various things while trying to relax in the camper. It also means that the fridge is not really accessible as her stuff can only really sit over the access door for the fridge. The major issue...admittedly specific to us but perhaps others as well is the lack of a back rest. My wife has a bad back and needs the support. The 1/4 height bench seats just don't provide any back support. Some kind of flip up support would be the trick. As it is we carry yet one more piece of gear that she can use to fashion a back support. Overall I simply love the trailer but it does have a few short comings and we're looking at an off road caravan. It just isn't true that you can't get a caravan as capable as the X3 but you have to get the right one. Many have the cruisemaster suspension and are lightish enough to be pulled around anywhere. Slightly taller, slightly longer but there are extremely capable caravans. The innovation and quality of the X3 is something to behold for sure.

I look for "Made In America" on the products i buy very often. Unfortunately there are so many things not made here. In the case of us ordering an X3, there just is not anything made here that meets our wants and needs like the X3. It is outdoor living which is what we want for camping but offers the condor that our "old" bones need. We are in our mid 50s and I live full time in a 5th wheel traveling for work. I can't wait for our next chapter when we receive our X3. I think it will open the door for both of us to come together and get outdoors
