Why I Chose the A7S II in 2025 (Perfect 2-Camera Setup for Client Work!)

Absolutely awesome video. I very much enjoyed this thank you. I love your passion for the A7S cameras and yes the A7SII is a very special camera. I have been meaning to create my own video all based on how the A7SII is the camera that changed everything for me and my film making career. It is definitely the most meaningful camera to me. But I do have to say there are several reasons why I could never go back to it for my client work. The biggest reason for me why I could never use it for paid gigs is the fact that it only has one memory card slot. I can not take that risk even though I had never had a memory card failure experience with my A7SII I still can’t risk that. When the A7SIII came out with two memory card slots with duel recordings. I knew that was the day my beautiful A7SII was retired. Great video and keep living that creative life!

My son and I just picked up the A7 IV after having been Nikon guys. I got him a retro manual macro lens for christmas. had to make a menu change letting the camera know it's a not supported lens. Works great though.

That's awesome, I hear that the A7 IV takes great photos, especially with a macro lens! I agree it's awesome to use those cameras with vintage lenses. I did some handheld test shots using my 50mm vintage nikon lens, and it's surprisingly stable. I am looking forward to testing it with my vintage 35mm f/2
