I bought the Sony ZV-1 a little under 2 years ago now, and it won out over the Canon M50 due to the record limit, and ability to use while plugged in. As I’ve grown my channel and content creation, I’ve actually purchased a second one for my multi angle shoots. I think it’s a game changer, and for somebody whole doesn’t like dealing with lenses or the tech side of camera stuff, it just always looks great without any extra effort on my part. Good luck with your channel and growth, I’ve enjoyed a number of your videos!

I hadn't thought about getting a second one... At the price point you can really afford to do that. Thanks so much for watching!!

Very interesting to see how balanced ZV 1 is. Surprising amount of capabilities. I saw it in KZbin commercial, saying it is selling no 1 in USA. I got interested. I really like that natural bokeh effect coming from such a little form factor.

It really is a great little camera that is very affordable. The real challenge now is that the ZV-E10s are available again, and for most I think it’s a far superior camera for a modest price increase.

hello Jack, congrats to the ZV1 👍🏻 I normally use the FX6 for professional films but I love the ZV1 for private films or holidays 👌 so small, smart and really good 😊 best cinematic greetings from germany

Ooh, that's the real deal! Maybe I'll get to that level someday... I do love the ZV-1 though, exactly what I need for where I'm at right now.

Amazing, that you've hit pretty much all the questions I am asking myself :D Thanks for the vid!

Thanks! That was kind of my thinking: if I'm asking these questions, someone else will be also! May as well save some time and effort!

I have both the ZV1 & A6400. With the F1.4 lens, the A6400 is a better image, but without a side-by-side comparison, the ZV1 is really great on its own. I also like how much easier the setup is on the ZV1. It's easy to travel with and the active stabilization is nice to have. Not quite an action camera level stabilization, but good enough. As long as you keep your lighting good, you'll be good to go. The ZVE10 would be great with the new APSC Sony lenses they just dropped, but that adds to the price considerably. Check out the DJI Wireless Mic. It works great with Cameras and Smartphones alike. The 1 button defocus is clutch if you're in a hurry and want easy settings to be the best. Check out the Ulanzi lens if you want to widen the field of view. Ulanzi also makes a nice articulating selfie stick/tripod w/Wi-Fi detachable remote. If you are ok with spending more, A6600 and A7C are great options too.

Thanks for the advice! I do have the Ulanzi lens and it works really well. You definitely can’t beat the price. I opted not to go with the selfie stick though, I can’t remember why… Thanks so much for watching and for your input!!

Great video. 👍🏽 The editing between the different cameras showed a huge difference. You going to document the camper remodel? I think that’d be pretty cool to follow along with.

Thanks man! Yep, I'm going to show the whole process. I'm drawing up the plans right now so hopefully I can get running when it warms up. Should be warming up next week!

Have you had any overheating issue when shooting in 4K?Great channel just discovered it!
@JackofAllMinistries2 жыл бұрын
Welcome to the channel!! So far, no issues at all. I haven't done any long-term outdoor stuff yet, but with everything else I've done I haven't even noticed the camera getting warm.

Well. Excellent reasoning. My choice waa made very simply. I live and work in Dubai UAE and Sony Middle East ran a Ramadan Special. ZV1, Bluetooth Tripod, Wireless Mic, 64gb Tough Card and a camera bag for $700. So my choice was made by the deal Would it have been my first choice over the EV10? Not in a million years. It's a great Amateur's Camera but it's flaws become apparent when pushed beyond home video or KZbin. That said. It's a cracking bit of kit and I look forward to really getting good use out of it.

Sounds like we're on the same page there!! I think it'll serve me well for awhile, and then it'll be a nice B-roll camera. Thanks for watching and sharing your situation!

Just use a cage or L-bracket to mitigate the battery door blockage when mounted on tripod.
@JackofAllMinistries2 жыл бұрын
Yep! The cage is what I ended up doing and it works great.

good video, the camera has internal leveler. keep pressing the "disp" button. keep up the KZbin. God bless.

Thanks so much! I've since found that feature, but I'm not a huge fan of the way it looks on the screen. I'll probably switch back and forth depending on what I'm doing. Thanks again!
@truthseeker68042 жыл бұрын
the screen has a sunlight mode that increase screen brightness pass max.
@JackofAllMinistries2 жыл бұрын
That's true, but apparently you can't do that when filming in 4K... Still a cool/helpful feature.
