Loving your channel, I ride an Ultra, just got home from a 2800 mile trip with my wife, she doesn't ride, but loves being on the ultra, we have a saying in Australia - Once you own a HD Ultra you wont go backwards to a lower HD touring model unless ya broke! Congrats... The Road Glide is by far the best touring bike, you will never regret buying it. The frame mounted fairing not only works better than the batwing on the highway, it also feels more nimble in town as well.... and after you have had yours a while, ride someone else's Electra or Street Glide and see how cramped it will feel.

Gorgeous bike brother! That will be my next ride. I love my RKS, but i want to do some long rides. The Ultra is the right way to go. Much easier to powder coat some parts and install a quick-tach kit for the tour pack, than to put all the add-ons to a RGS. The duel cooling and the upgraded touring seat alone are good reasons to get the Ultra.

Paid cash. Bought it Dec 2017 got a terrific deal on it. It was different for me since I had not rode since my early 20s. But I handled the big 240 tire with no problems. Just takes a couple rides and you got it.

I know of several folks who have HD touring bikes with over 100,000 miles. They go cross country with them still. They all say the same thing, just follow the maintenance schedule. Use synthetic oil and high octane fuel. Just be careful who you buy a used bike from no matter what brand because some don't follow that rule of thumb.

Being a Sportster guy. And owning a Road King. I understand the need for the touring bike. When together on a bike we use the RK. But not owning a light, nimble Sportster is where we differ, I think the Dyna would have been my choice to trade. But I am not you. Congratulations on the Road Glide. Nice bike.

I'd like to see a product review on TopCoat F11. It is a product used to protect the finish and make cleaning a lot easier on the entire bike..... Supposedly. It isn't cheap though, so before I buy I'd love to see a Bike N' Bird review. Google search "TopCoat F11". Would really like to see something other than their sales pitch as a review. Although their commercials make the stuff look AMAZING. Help us out Bike N' Bird. Test it out on that new bike before it gets dirty.

I have used many different products over the years, but have been using TopCoat F11 for over a while now. It is amazing stuff, but it is very pricey. I started with a spray bottle, then sprang for a gallon at $200. I used it at least 3-4 times a week on my Road Glide and about once or twice a month on my wife's car and the gallon has lasted me about a year and a half. A couple months ago, a few guys I know told me about "Purple Slice". They said great things about it, so I decided to give it a try and ordered a bottle on Amazon for a fraction of the cost of F11. Ive been using it for about a month and it seems to be just as good as the F11. In fact it keeps dust and such off my bike far better than the F11 did. My wife has been commuting in the Rain the past week and a couple hours after she pulls in the garage, you wouldn't know that car was out in the rain. I know for a fact the F11 didn't work as well in the rain. As far as how my bike or the car looks after applying F11 or Purple Slice, I cant really tell the difference, both look great. Now maybe in my case the Purple Slice works great because its on a base coat of F11, but considering the difference in cost, unless I notice the Purple Slice isn't holding up, I cant see myself forking out another $200 for the F11. I read a lot of reviews about F11 before I bought it, the only real negative was the Cost. For me, having used both, the Purple Slice seems to keep the dirt, dust and rain off the surface much better than the F11... And even if the F11 made the paint look slightly better after applying it (I didn't notice a difference) It isn't worth the cost, but that's just my opinion. I know F11 is expensive, but I would recommend buying the smallest bottle of F11 and a like size of Purple Slice and comparing the two.
