Why I Do Street Photography

Well, it has been a couple of wks since uploading my last video. Tired of blue sky days & not making for good landscape photography conditions I decided it was a good time to try something different, putting a video together of me doing street photography in the city I live which is Vancouver Bc. Street photography is the second field of photography I do when the weather isn't ideal for shooting landscapes, so perfect for those blue-sky days. A really nice video, and very good photos !!! Excellent advice to underexpose, I will keep this in mind !!! Vancouver is a very beautiful and big city, certainly a source of infinite inspiration ... as regards the supercars we saw at the beginning, in Italy when you see a Ferrari we use to make a joke: "As a car it is beautiful, but maybe it's not that good, there are so few around !!! Thanks for that Barbara. Really enjoy doing street photography from time to time, so thought it was time to share some of the photography I do outside of landscape photography. As much as I like the peace & quiet of the mountains & forests here in BC, I wanted to show another side of my photography that I enjoy so much & has taught me a lot on my journey as a photographer. Thanks Julian. I think it's good see that people do other genres of photography outside of landscape photography, helps show people that photography can be versatile & doesn't have to stop at one genre. My video this Sunday will be another street photography video here in Vancouver, but as we are heading into Fall I plan on doing more landscape photography in the near future.

Bri, you should get yourself down to Jericho Pier. There's a spectacular view across the bay at night time. The Yacht club is down there as well, so you ought to have something to photograph.

Bri, what an enjoyable video. Although Australia is where I live, my birthplace never looked better or so beautiful. I've spent a couple of days during visits home to capture many of these same streets. Please do more street!

As much as I like shooting landscapes, it was nice to get back out doing some street photography.
