I'm going to be the outlier here. And this is just my personal experience. I have both a Kelly and Birkin from two reputable pre-loved sites. I made sure when researching and buying that I wasn't spending more than I would at a boutique store. If you looked at my Kelly sellier 32 in courcheval leather, you never would believe it's 37 years old. The craftsmanship is impeccable. The previous owner took great care for this bag and it came with everything except the box. When I was in NY this past May, the SA in Chanel even stopped me and commented on how beautiful my Kelly bag was. She couldn't believe the age. And when it started to rain later that day, I was so happy to have its raincoat. My Birkin HAC is also over 30 years old but looks amazing. Again, it's in coucheval leather. Both bags are gold with gold hardware. My Birkin was $7500. For me, I don't want to play the game. I live in a fairly big city that doesn't have an Hermes store. I would have to drive a couple of hours to the nearest store and try to form a relationship with an SA all in the hopes of one day being offered a quota bag. No, thanks. I will carry and love my pre-loved bags for years to come.

Great points! I could not buy a new quota bag preloved, but I think vintage you can find good deals. As soon as I realized vintage Kellys going for a bit more than vintage Chanel CFs I felt it was a good deal. Thank you for sharing💕

Great points Irene! So glad you did this video and shared some wisdom. I recently viewed preloved B & K and was shocked to find out about the retouching that had been made to a few of these bags. So if they didn’t tell the buyer, then the bag cannot be sent to Hermès spa in future. I think this is another major reason to be concerned about when buying preloved. Very true Irene, their price is too much, even the reseller out there. I wonder why they keep on getting quota bag every other week. I thought Hermes are very strict about the reseller. Instead of giving chances to the people out there like me (until now I’m waiting for Kelly 25) I see a lot of reseller on instagram and it’s really frustrating.

Well, in my case and my friends, we know a lot if us go to preloved market because we're frustrated by our local boutique, with their games, and lots of us spend lots of money on baits and wait long time and still wasn't offered quota bags. So it's not really that we don't wanna wait or we're not loyal customers, but it's because of Hermes play games.
