Why I Don't Do LOW BUDGET Crafting Guides | PoE 3.25

In 3.25 to help with early game crafting we have increased the stack size of Essence's from 9 to 10.

Honestly, if they increased stack size to 20 like they did with other stuff last league I'd be unironically excited. You need to sell in such high bulk now to make any profit with Essence since they nuked the price on 'em. Likewise, I'm sure buying feels the same way.

I learned more in 20s of him explaining why he won't do low budget crafting videos than in trying to read the same advice in countless posts. I think something as seemingly easy but counterintuitive like: "fracture + essence + bench crafting allows you to roughly lock in 4 out of 6 mods" is just so powerful as a conceptual framework. Again, probably obvious to anyone who has crafted their own stuff before, but it's really not intuitive for people that are struggling to break into self-crafting and afraid of wasting currency they could instead use to just buy items instead. An intimidating skill floor for a lot of decent but not exceptional players.

Nailed it. This is especially true for those of us that have decent currency but not spectacular. The risk/reward is not there unless you are overflowing with money.

What I always wanted to know is, at what point do you know which method is better? Metacrafting vs Essence fracture base vs fossils vs ...

Well That's not easy to answer, because all methods can give you powerful items, but the real question is how RARE are the mods you want on your gear, for example +1 all spell skills gems on a wand has 50 of weighting, on a non-fractured prefix it can take 1.5k alts to get that mod using fossils can guarantee it in like 1/12 resonator, fossils are quicker but pricy and alts are cheaper but a lot more slower (in this case) Just make sure to focus on prefix then suffix and viceversa while crafting really expensive items

@@rubenandrade9602 Yeah i think its always worth checking craftofexile and see how much effort you do for the savings you make. If theres no guide on crafting exactly what you need. And I think knowing which method to use without having to calculate it comes down to years of experience.

This really hits the spot. Once you really understand that fracture / essence / crafted mod you realize that most items you will ever need can be done with some sort of combination of these and you won’t ever have to buy items again. You can use this to make your first 100 div very easy every league . And once you have that you can move into where I feel is interesting crafting and even now when I kinda mastered that portion aswell I really just want to craft a 1000 divine item 🫣

A lot of the time I don't know if an older crafting video is still applicable. That may be one reason why people ask for new videos. Maybe you can edit the title or description of older videos if the method doesn't work anymore?

Why would you essence a fractured item then bench craft just to essence it again? Wouldn't you just essence it untill you get 2 mods + the fracture and then bench craft and maybe exalt slam?

Yes he was not saying it as a thing to do after, he meant it to retroactively clarify what most people do with essences and why it is a 4 mod guarantee rather than 3

My man, you need to move to ssf and then your crafting skills will have a way to shine. This is why folks are asking, it's not rewarding to BUY your upgrade, no matter how small. It's ALWAYS feels better to have made it yourself. If you try SSF this league you might find mountain ranges of new content to make.

I loooove SSF and actually still craft and upgrade all my gear without using the trade site as much as possible :) I am going to do a GF private league next league which is semi ssf. The only reason I don't do ssf is that it would take far longer to farm everything I needed for the types of videos I wanted to make, but that will be changing next league because I want to do pretty different content too!

@@Lolcohol I dont mind dumping them here. Dont use discord unless i have to. Take an off meta skill and league start it in SSF and then video diary it. All of it. The play thus, the crafting vs. farming decisions, the order in which you decide to farm content as it relates to char power and pushing atlas etc. I spend eons watching all of Lighty's content for just this purpose, he has helped me move from trade to SSF only and love it so much more. No pressure to make 6xT1 items with 400 fossils spams... just make above average shit and be happy. tons of us need that kind of content, even trade folks since MOST of them play solo anyway and treat trade as the last resort

@@Lolcohol I just realized I didn't explain that as well as I thought. When I say I have learned from watching Lighty, I mean the small stuff, like why you might not start a league in ssf with essences, to do low lvl unique farming instead to open up way more build options to play based on what pieces fall first. No reason to farm ice NOVA of Frostbolts gear if you drop most of the parts for blade vortex or something. Another good creator for this is Walsh, think that's his name. Does SSF ruthless content. Teaches folks like me on HOW to think about the problems Poe creates. I have said many times, Tarde taught me to farm divines, SSF taught me to play PoE

@@Lolcohol They did get quite rare last league with rare conversion nerf. I struggled hard last league and didn't find any usuable frac for some slots in 100 hours. But hey, Rog is still pog^^

@@Kostchei Many good ways to get good fractures on SSF, Blight, Abyss, Legion, Heist. Just takes some good target farming and patience ^^

@@Lolcohol Fair, I was just having a chuckle. There have been quite a few guides that start off with a fractured base and might only be a handful to zero offered up over the course of a HC league. Especially so for end game. Looking forward to seeing what you put out this league. Your thoughts in the round table about what Empy did were interesting.
