Oli!!!! I drive with both feet too 😂. Started at 17 and I'm 26 now. Never have been in a car accident of any kind. I had anxiety too when I began driving & using both feet made me feel safer. It's weird to me that people drive with 1 foot😂. I can respond so quickly if needed, unlike 2 feet people. It's just how my brain functions. If you feel safer with driving with 2 feet, do it. I feel like this is a "they're left handed so they have to abandoned that & learn right hand" phenomenon. I literally just didn't feel safe using 1 foot, so I don't 🤷‍♀️

It is safer using one foot, Cuz the potential to slam on both pedals is more common. That's why they say use one foot only. But if you learned how to do it with both and that is your normal It probably wouldn't be as common for you to slam on both pedals
