I have to agree that the reverse grip has worked my triceps more than the football bar. In fact I've found that the football bar ends up working my shoulders more than anything, especially once I've gotten past the first half range of motion.

I have used the bar at the gym for some limited shoulder pressing. Though dumbbells can work for me too. But I use it because my shoulder mobility is bad on my right side for overhead work. It doesn't effect my bench so I just use a straight bar there. I am going to have to do some reverse grip work though, maybe as soon as today's workout.

Reverse grip always hurt my wrists. I will have to give it another try after watching the way you demonstrated how you grip the bar. This is great knowledge. Thanks Jimmy

I need to get back to using reverse grip for both a warmup and I like to use it as an accessory for triceps as well! Do you happen to have any exercises you like to do for single arm stabilizer muscle building? If you add that type of training in that is. Hope you and Kate are doing well!

you should have your own brand of bars. finding a real football bar these days is retarded but they work better on boards than a square frame swiss bar. the main application that i have found for a neutral grip bar is for old guys with bad shoulders

I don't know man but the reverse grip is way too risky to tear your chest since your pecs is too stretched at the bottom of the rep Couldn't get comfortable with it but definitely safe for your shoulders
