There's also a company called Youtooz that makes figures somewhat similar to Funko Pops. They have even made some based on other content creators before.

The problem with Kickstarter is you eventually have to fulfill your obligation. There are plenty of Kickstarters that take people's money, but they don't complete their part of the agreement.

Don’t listen to the haters Uncle Tim. I hope you have a figure of yourself out by next Holiday so I can grab one for each family member and gift them for Christmas. I’m in for 5

Sounds awesome Unc. If I were to do something like that, I think I would pick just one of the products to start with first. Then after one is done and successful, there is more money from that to put towards the next thing. Might also be good to start small when it comes to merch and then build up to the bigger, more expensive stuff. Maybe using a third party website to make things like shirts, hats, mugs, etc. With made to order items like those there doesn't have to be a bankroll to get started. Then when it comes to toys, maybe starting with smaller ones like MUSCLE type figures. That tests the market at a lower cost and smaller risk. That also helps build hype leading up to the big stuff. By the time we get the bigger, fully painted and articulated action figure, there's already more brand recognition for it. I'm looking forward to all of it.

Small figurines could come with trading cards and full size action figures could come with comics. Just throwing ideas out there for ya to take or leave.

If I were going to do an action figure of myself on the cheap, I would get a 3d scan of myself. Then hire a digital artist to make the needed changes to convert it to something usable for a prototype. Either that or have it made as a kit to mod an existing figure, such as a person could get a head scan and then have it altered to fit on an MOTU figure.

3:07 I've noticed this with self-published books and books from small book publishers.

I think you're right Unc. If you have a vision, and you want it to remain pure, don't share it with the internet. I don't think you need to worry about any big guys trying to take ownership of anything at this point. Unless you have the greatest Idea/Pitch/Business plan ever. However, if you succeed in your first outing, that will change. That's when the sharks start circling, after there is some blood in the water.

you might wanna start small. Maybe designing figures with a program called blender thats free and maybe getting a 3d printer .

I wrote a manga once in 2003 called the landing. I had and still have the notebooks full of chapters and lore the sketch pads full of art. I just never did anything with it 😂😂😂
@nonexistenthandle99224 күн бұрын
Well if you ever wanna convert that into a game and need a composer, hmu.
@seriusblack68704 күн бұрын
@nonexistenthandle9922 I would have to dedicate a lot of time into it. It's an over the top action packed story of my life and the raging battle between family and friends lmmfao. Anyway I would have to put the money and work in to make it perfect.

Kickstarter is still a successful brand though. I say you should go for it. People are usually willing to pay the extra for their content creators because we understand you’re not an established business

Are there any action figures of youtubers besides Logan Paul? I can’t imagine there is a huge demand for that. Maybe Hasbro can branch into that after they lose the Disney IP’s. KZbinr Legends.
@planetschlock2 күн бұрын
Maybe not action figures but there are quite a lot of those Youtooz vinyl things of different KZbinrs. I don't collect them or know anybody who does. They're just Funko Pops all over again except these cost like $30 each lol

Hey, Unc, much respect & love for what you do! Im an artist and have an illustration/painting I want to gift to you, but I'm not sure how to get it to you... do you have a p.o. box by chance?

KZbinr action figures??? Why would anybody buy that when they could put that same money towards a figure they actually collect? I would buy a Transformer or a MOTU figure, never a KZbinr. This is just weird. lol
