Meghaaaaan I totally understand this!! Just like you I've unfortunately realized that how I treated my body until now is starting to catch up with me. Yoga and meditation is so fantastic for stress!! Btw, if you ever want to use KZbin Yoga with Adriene is the absolute best. Adriene is soooo wonderful and comforting, I love her so much. She's played such a huge role in helping me relax and stop tensing my muscles all throughout the day. I hope you feel better soon! And make sure you're getting good sleep! Every time I try to pull an all-nighter (or even just stay up super late) I end up getting sick. It's weird because these are all things our parents told us as kids but because it didn't affect us back then I never really thought it was that important. Guess they were right all along lol. Love you, take care of yourself!! ♥♥♥

This was honestly really nice to hear. The past two years I’ve been in and out of doctors in a similar fashion and finally saw a rheumatologist last summer and have been seeing her since because they’ve diagnosed me with anklylosing spondylitis which is an arthritis autoimmune disease. Being in constant pain and tired has become normal to me and a lot of the time I just feel alone about it, especially with the whole ‘but you’re so young’ like being thrown my way every day. Hearing you open up about all this makes it seem like there are more people out there who understand and it’s a real comfort. I’m glad you’re getting everything sorted out, I really love when you’re real with us. ❤️

You said "You have to re-program the way you think and you are the most important thing. You have to take care of you before you can take care of anyone or anything else." I recently started thinking for myself more and more and I had to end one of my best friendships, purely because it was bad for me, and ever since I've done that I've been feeling so much better. In the friendship, the other person would always pile her problems up onto my shoulders and its just my nature to help everyone and make sure everyones okay, and that wasn't good for me. After 4 years of pushing my problems away, when I had severe problems, I begun feeling super super down about everyone and everything. Once I started thinking about myself things got better. I've been writing a lot recently, I've been drawing and creating and developing things, I've been going out with friends a lot more and I feel infinite. I related to this video in a lot of different ways and I felt so comforted reading comments and listening to you speak because I know I am not alone. There are a billion other stories and a billion other situations and more than a billion outcomes, and thats up to us to decide. It just takes willpower and determination. ❤❤

I hope you feel better soon! I had very similar symptoms as you have back in high school. They removed my tonsils because I wasn't able to eat or breath which effected my asthma. They noticed I had a lot of scar tissue behind my tonsils from severe infections. It helped for a bit, but the symptoms came back. They told me to just externalize my depression and anxiety (aka the hardest thing for someone who's an internalizer). It's okay to not be okay and to take time for yourself. It took many years to accept that for myself and it really helped. Be careful which essential oils you use, some of them are highly toxic to dogs. Lavender and peppermint are fine ^-^ I love watching your videos!

Meghan, you just described my life from childhood (1960's) until 2010. I was always sick. Strep like sore throat (but not strep), swollen sinuses, a heavy chest but I was always told I was healthy. I felt like it was somehow food related because I realized that my tongue would have a slight soreness when I got sick. I had allergy test which would come back negative. Than in 2008 I found out I had a gluten intolerance. It didn't cause these symptoms but it made me think instead of allergies, to think auto-immune issues. In talking to someone who had similar symptoms, they emphatically begged me to get rid of Citric Acid from my diet. When I did, I wasn't sick for 5 years. Maybe once a year now I might get sick but avoiding gluten, I find it a little harder to avoid Citric Acid. So, like this person did for me, I am going to emphatically beg you to avoid Citric Acid for one month and see what happens. I truly believe you will feel better. Love your will to always fight, so keep fighting :)

hi mehgan. I am kinda going thru the same thing just without the inflaming stuff. I get stressed out about everything and im only 11, this happends bc people at school bully me since i was 5 and so then i went into depretion at a young age and now my mom went back to collage and my brother and sister aren't here to help me. (AKA my sister is in Hawaii with her dad and my brother is in Utah living his life. And i used to live with my mom and siblings in LA but my mom and i now live in RI. We had to drive from LA to RI) And so then i started going to a therapist and now i think shes dead. bc i am supposed to have a meeting with her every saturday morning from 10:45am- 1:00pm. And i just stress out about everything bc when one of my friends is mad with me i have to deal with the fact that she will never tell me whats going on and so i try to make everyone happy but i cant and i just stress to the point that i tryed to kill my self and im still thinking of doing it and i tell my self that everyone hates me and no im crying. I do horible if i get a bad grade and im very sencitive and to see this video and see that u were going thru all of this makes me feel horible bc u make laugh every day when i come home from DRAMA and so sometimes like now i just want to die and yep. but i hope u feel much better. I'm so glad you're getting better and healthier Meghan, but what is eating chicken doing for your body? It's a dead animal. Plants are a heal allll! Get your daily does of turmeric, it is amazingggg with anti inflammatory, but make sure to add some black pepper to whatever you're making. The black pepper helps to keep the turmeric in your body for longer, and having it with fats (tahini, nut butter) also helps!

Hey Meghan, I'm in school to be a nurse and I'm taking physiology right now, so maybe I can tell you some things that will help you. I'm no doctor, but I've learned a lot from this class. A very good way to de-stress yourself is to exercise. I know you may not have time for exercise or may not have time for it, but even like 10-20 minutes a day will help. Exercising helps produce endorphins in the brain (the feel good chemical) that'll help relieve some of that stress. Cleaning is also a way to help release endorphins as well. You doing yoga and taking those baths are great because they probably release endorphins and help decrease cortisol (stress response hormone). Another way you can help yourself is to get proper sleep! We all know sleep is important, but getting proper sleep increases better mood, energy, a focused mind, etc. It's probably difficult since you have so many things to do, but you must get proper sleep to help you get better. Also, since you have a vitamin d deficiency, take supplements. Vitamin D is SO IMPORTANT for many things, such has bone growth and development and helps the process for muscle contraction. It should also help with your depression. Washington, where I live, is the #1 state that's high in vitamin D deficiency and seasonal disorders. This is because we don't get enough sun or intake enough vitamin D, which also helps you be happy. If you can't get enough sun, take the supplements, they should help. Also taking Chewie for a walk outside will help you relieve stress AND help you get some vitamin D if it's sunny. Inflammation is a sign of infection. The tonsils in your mouth are there to keep the bacteria out of your body by killing them in the saliva, or making them go to the stomach where they will hopefully die in stomach acid. You probably got a differential white blood count and your eosinophils were a little high. These specific white blood cells indicate that you have parasitic worms your body is trying to fight OR allergies, which could be why they suspected it was your allergies. I hope this made some sense to you or helped enforce your thinking of how to take better care of yourself. I hope you feel better, Meghan. Even though I'm in college I really enjoy watching your videos because they remind me of how I play games LOL. Remember to take time for yourself. If you're going to internalize things, you could start doing yoga ASAP or something to help relieve the stress before your body starts to react to it. Try doing instead of thinking. Good luck girl!

Truth, my hands are sore and swell almost daily too. It freaked me out for a while, but I discovered it's from the aerial arts I take. Apparently climbing silks and hanging from hoops works out muscles you didn't realize you had in your phalanges.

A self care video would be amazing. Learning how to take better care of myself would greatly help my life.
