I give you mad props. You’re genuine. I just forced myself to choose 5 of my beats to record onto and perform on my SP404MK2 and it turned out really cool. Just posted it. Feels nice to “finish” something even if it’s imperfect.

There are two reasons i picked up a 555. First is that the USB audio format in the 555 is the same as the latest MPC USB audio format. Yes, you can hook the USB port on the 555 to an MPC and use usb audio between the two devices. Works flawlessly. Second reason, there’s enough room inside a 555 to retrofit a USB charging LiIon battery. So my Live II and my 555 are portable, and i can run a single cable between them (USB) for power, audio, and midi control.

I currently only have the mk2 & the best looking SP... the 505 😂 I sold my 404og & 404sx to get the mk2. Not disappointed still miss my og, sx, & 202. BUT to be honest I struggle finding time to use what I own. Debt... I have a management bachelors at 41 i still owe like 12k. Dont lose heart Jade keep producing items for sale, reduce spending & the debt will go down slowly but surely.

I’ve not released a KZbin video for 4 months and have lost motivation through to much gear and experimentation. Went back to basics this week with just a BIA, kick, and hats, and everything seems so simple again now. Sounds similar to your back to your basics here.

What does BIA mean? I did the same though! Started getting lost watching videos and the other day, I was off and decided to record 5 of my recent favorite eternally-unfinished beats into ableton, send to an SP404 pad, press record and post it. It feels good even though it’s not a perfect or super polished video, it’s a vibe and it’s me finally doing something I said I wanted to do! Back to basics like you said, just putting good sounds together and not over complicating shit. I wish you the best with your music have fun

@@billiedoesbeats sorry I’m a modular guy and forget I live in my own little world sometimes. BIA is Basimilus Iteritas Alter by Noise Engineering. It’s a great percussive and bass module which you can just throw random modulation at and it always sounds good. Motivation sometimes comes from simplicity and glad you got back into finishing your tracks too.

Interesting. I started on MPC, and got a SP404mk2 on a whim as an audio interface for it (they don't work well with ipads) and liked it so much I sold my MPC. I've managed to achieve most of the same things by picking up a MC-101 to substitute for most of the other benefits of using a MPC over a SP. So far, I'm really happy and that's mostly the focus of my youtube channel here. Thoughtful stuff though, I'm sure I'll start checking my local used shops for 555's. Cool video.

STOP IT! Lemme tell your sonics are on par with world class producers not KZbin producers. Your honestly on par with producers like Pete Rock, Premier, Diamond D, Beatminerzs, The Beat Nuts, Ali, E-A Ski, Jermain Dupri, Timberland, Swizz Beats, etc… and I could go on and on who you’re hanging with sonically I didn’t say you produce like them you definitely have your own style and sound. Realease your music focus more on being an artist of music production professionally than one on KZbin. Go get ‘em Gurl. Please just start releasing your music your like my boy here in Toronto who has 12 or more Albums worth of music he's just hoarding to himself. You don't need a record label anymore to release good music in an album format Jade Wi . hopefully we can bring to rolands attention the bug in the mk2 where there is a constant note on being sent to any connected external midi device whenever ext src or rec are pressed, making it impossible to use with external midi devices : (

@@djgreenhornet2892 606 definitely is different from the other sp’s .. has a workflow similar to the mpc.. a lot of Fooz done even know cause most will follow the crowd and get what their favorite producer is using or whatever is hot .. madlib was putting in a lot of work on the 606 and conductor from Griselda is still using it to this day for their tracks

Thanks! A lot of the streams have been with flips, chops, mostly non cleared samples so that stuff is not on my Spotify, you’ll only catch it on the streams. I make a lot of modular, electronic stuff, but I also write Lofi, just haven’t in a while. Check out my older albums for some Asian type Lofi stuff, or stick for whatever genre I decide to share next :D
