Hey Paige, if you wen there on June 22nd, it is the Grand Duke's bday on the calendar but technically it is Lux's national holiday, like 4th of July if you will, it's a big party in Luxembourg, fireworks, noise (a no-no the rest of the time) and hangover for the next day! So glad you were there for that :)

Grand Duke Hemri of Luxembourg and King PhiIlppe of Belgium are first cousins, Grand Duke Henri's mother was King Philippe's paternal aunt. Grand Duke Henri's wife ,Gramd Duchess Maria Teresa is Cuban. and they met while studying in Switzerland in 1979 , they've been married since 1981.

I did a day trip to Luxembourg once from Brussels. It's a cute place and congratulations on your 40th country but it still leaves you with some other European mini countries left to explore - Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican city 🙂
