Why I got emotional visiting the Cloud Forest & Flower Dome

Come along with me as we explore the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome, two of Singapore's most famous spots. The Cloud Forest is like stepping into an exotic mountain paradise, spawning the most amazing variety of different plants, plus a giant indoor waterfall. It's a must-see if you're visiting Singapore!
But here's the twist: what I wasn't expecting halfway walking through the flower dome was to be overcome with emotion and feeling nostalgic about life 'back home'. Amongst the olive trees and various mediterranean plants, the smell took me straight back - South of France, Madrid, England.
Of course those places are beautiful, but it's not the location per se that pulls at my heart strings but the people that tie me to it. So, with my aim to be as real and raw as possible on youtube, I wanted to share a look into my life back home, my family, to show that its not always easy, even if it is adventurous, leaving your loved ones to live across the other side of the world. I really do believe that in life, not one person can ever really have EVERYTHING (at least not all at the same time) so there will always be drawbacks, and I suppose I wanted this to serve as a reminder that what you see on social media is never the full picture. Having said that, I believe that youtube is the best place to see the raw side.
What I will say, is that even though I can't be with my family all the time, living abroad gives me the opportunity to travel more than I ever have before, exploring amazing places, and making new friends that span the globe. This is something I wouldn't change for anything. With each new destination you discover, you'll make new and unforgettable memories (good or bad!), and later down the line I've always cherished every experience.
So my advice? Go travel, explore, get out and see what you can - make NEW memories.... you never know where you might end up remembering them.
